  1. Yes, you have to wonder where we're at when our own council see the people that really care about this city as their enemies! The way it's treated ordinary people is appalling. As usual nobody's opinion matters but their own. They wouldn't have planned this for the middle of the night and arranged such a heavy police presence if they weren't in the wrong. A sad day for Sheffield
  2. Why hold a meeting after they've ripped them out already? Annoyingly, they've had plenty of time to consider what to do about these cobbles. I raised the issue with Amey back in April when they started removing flagstones. There were also raised cartwheel stops all the way down this street!
  3. I totally agree. This brain dead vandalism is gradually turning Sheffield into a total eyesore. It's everywhere you look and increasing by the day. If the variety of different 'tags' is anything to go by, there must be hundreds of these people going around defacing people's property.
  4. Oops. I hadn't noticed the date. I guess it's a sad reflection of a city that seems to be moving backwards rather than forwards! A city that's gradually becoming more and more difficult to be proud of
  5. It most certainly hasn't! There's barely a building in and around the city centre that hasn't got spray paint on it.
  6. I think there may be more to it than this though. If houses are built on flood plains this land will now have drainage and the water to a certain degree then goes elsewhere. Perhaps putting at risk areas that weren't susceptible to flooding previously. More and more land is now drained (farmland included) meaning that vast areas of natural runoff no longer exist. The water has to go somewhere.
  7. There's a car park on Alma Street opposite The Fat Cat Pub, I believe it's only £2 a day.
