  1. Hello, we have a five piece soul band (guitar, sax, bass, drums and vocalist) that's been together for ten years. We've been after a keyboard player for a while, so get back to us please if you're interested. We usually rehearse every Monday evening, but our next one is not until Monday 4th November. Thanks.
  2. Hello this is Alan from soul faces. I replied to your response re gigs, rehearsal and family etc., but there was an error reported. We don't do a great many gigs these days and we practice most Mondays at Attic studios( 5.30-8pm).We need someone basically to fill the sound. they're a good bunch of guys, get back to us if you fancy it, Thanks, Alan.
  3. Hello, I've read your link and I'm in a band called Soulfaces who are looking for a keyboard player. We're a 5 piece band that have mostly been doing soul and Motown type stuff, as the name suggests, mostly at functions or city centre venues. We still want to keep this up, but recently we've been rehearsing less commercial songs with a view to doing more pubs and for our own enjoyment. The line up is: guitar, bass, sax, drums and singer(down from an 8 piece) and feel a Keyboard would fill the sound out. We rehearse on a regular basis, so if you're interested get in touch. Thanks, Alan.
  4. Keyboard Player Wanted for working Soul Band.
  5. Wasn't Graham Bond, I saw him at the club. this guy was probably some session player.
  6. No it wasn't Dick Heckstall Smith, he played with Graham Bond. The fella I'm talking about was a bit meaty and tough looking. probably well known in the business.
  7. Saw JH at the Mojo, can remember him messing with mic stands before getting changed for the gig. Only song I can really remember him playing though is Wild Thing, the start of which left me with a dropped jaw. Can any of the old Mojo regulars remember the Sax player who played regularly with the bands that were provided for the touring American artistes. He always wore a collar and tie and looked older than the other musicians. It would be interesting to know his name.
  8. I've got an old Hayman from the 70's. great action and interesting body.
  9. Do I love you-- produced by Spector for the Ronettes. Sublime.
  10. best 3 tracks. Dickie & the Firemen. Credit Card. Please Take My Heart. Sweet Nadine.
