Hi.We tried this new place on Abbeydale road yesterday.It served authentic Indian -Srilankan cuisine.The food and service is very good.We tried the Dosa(on the house), fried Pormfret fish, veggie soup, green mutton curry(recommend this) and veggie rice.

Have been following this discussion for some time---we love trying out new restaurants, so tried Dosanj in July to celebrate a special achievement--loved the food! We then hosted a party at Dosanj for about 60 adults+ 25 kids--it was absolutely great---I guess the prices are on the higher side , but the deal for an exclusive party is very good and all our friends are raving about the food, ambience( which included a champagne reception) and the service was exceptional. They were very good to make separate arrangements for kids, including a special menu, arts & crafts table , movies and a chocolate fountain. I guess whats important is that the taste is authentically Indian ( have lived in Mumbai all my life before coming to UK) and the staff are trying very hard.I do hope they keep up the great standards they have set themselves. Following our party, we are also booking it for a Diwali party and other friends are also thinking of celebrating birthdays, etc there. .....and NO---I'm not related to the owners or the chef!!!

hi, i just wanted you people to know about the experience we had at delhi junction restaurantabbeydale road south, near dore. we decided to go out for dinner on friday evening(me+my wife and son).we reached quite early at about 6:50 pm.let me tell you at this point that we are an asian family(indian decent). when we entered , we were approached by the manager(asian -pakistani descent) who asked us whether we had reservation.we didnt!!he said it was fully booked for the evening!!we saw that all the tables were empty except one.i brought this to this persons attention-who said that they were very full and was trying to show me the door. i was made to feel very unwelcome there. maybe its my colour/descent.i dont know.but i feel that the general attitude was to unwelcome asian people into this anglo-indian-brassierie. i was really angry at their attitude mainly towards us.i have decided never to enter such a place where a person is judged by his colour/descent.i am sure these people must be giving a better service to the so called sahibs!!!
