  1. No we haven't made our own because between us there isn't an artistic bone in our bodies! We haven't got anything but are ideally looking for invites with a reply card and an envelope for wedding gift donations so that people can post them in to a postbox we have at the wedding.
  2. We're getting married on August 17th and need wedding invites asap! Ideally I'd like a Victorian style/font on the invitations as we're getting married in a Victorian setting but the only thing I do need are money envelopes including in the invites. Anyone know anywhere I can get them done? Don't want to spend hours trawling the internet if someone knows a really good place to get them from. Thanks, Jess
  3. Anyone know how I could get cat antibiotics without taking the cat to the vet? The cat was rescued two years ago after a very hard start in life. She won't go near females and it took us and the rescue lady a long time to get her in the box even to get her here. When I take her to the vets for her shots she is miserable and it takes forever. Yesterday she was attacked by something and when we finally trapped her the wound is clean but I think needs antibiotics. I can take photos to the vets but would rather not stress the cat out anymore by actually taking her. I know I'm not a qualified vet but my grandma is getting very upset that if we take the cat then she'll end up getting put down, (the cat not grandma!). She's walking normally and eating fine. Just want to make sure it doesn't get infected by having the antibiotics.
  4. Which roads are you looking at? I lived there three years ago and still have friends in the area so might be able to give you a better opinion.
  5. Hi. We're looking to transform a village hall in to a venue for our wedding reception. The current decor is pretty naff but I have seen businesses down south who can cover the walls of rooms with temporary drapes. Anyone done this in Sheffield please or have any recommendations for us? Thanks.
  6. Hi. I had to buy an indoor cage for my buns when they were castrated so they could rest inside after the opp. It is this model: http://www.petsathome.com/shop/rabbit-120-guinea-pig-and-dwarf-rabbit-cage-by-ferplast-15982?cm_re=barilliance-_-cross%20sell-_-product%20details but in pink. I would be looking for £50. Bowl, hay rack and water bottle come with it.
  7. Hornsea Freeport has a large discount wedding shop which has lots of plus sizes.
  8. Thanks for the suggestions. I will have a look at these places - never knew some of them existed!
  9. Hi. Am looking for somewhere to go for a spa day for myself and about 20 ladies for my hen do. The age range is from 18 to 75 so we need somewhere that will give us some variety of activities and treatments. Ideally we would like at least one treatment each. Thanks for any constructive suggestions in advance.
  10. Thank you for the genuinely helpful comments and for the time you took to find that information for us.
  11. Yesterday when I got home from work I was sure the cat had brought a bird in. Turning the bedroom upside down revealed no bird but then we worked out the noise was coming from the top corner of the bedroom and when we went outside to look at the roof we saw sparrows were flying in and out with grubs. Our roof is quite low and the nest is directly above my bed. All I can hear now is the constant flapping and chirping noise of the chicks which I'm guessing are up there. A roofing guy came out today to look at sorting out the hole for us but does anyone know when can it be blocked up? How long do sparrows take to fly the nest? Has anyone had any experience of removing the debris caused by birds? I'm happy to put a bird box up there once the hole is blocked so they have somewhere to go next year but having it above my bed is driving me mad!
  12. As I was driving up City Road out of town at 2.30pm there was a man hiding behind a chimney of one of the houses. The police and quite a crowd were there so I was just wondering what had happened.
  13. Hi. We have just removed the previous owner's awful carpet from the hallway and found underneath beautiful, (in our opinion!) red tiles which we would like to preserve and restore as a feature of the house. The living room and dining room have laminate in them currently and these are in good condition so we don't see any reason to take them out at the moment. However, I've looked for door strips to go between the higher level laminate and lower level tile floors and can't find anything suitable. Most edges seem to have a carpet side and something else, or are for one level flooring. Can anyone direct me to where I could get what I'm looking for? Thanks.
  14. Hi. Just had a carpet fitted in the house after it was donated from a relative who'd only had it a year and then unfortunately had to move out of her home in to supported living. However their house was much bigger than mine and so I've got quite a bit of offcuts and underlay. Is this any use to any of the rescues? I'm either going to the tip with it or can drop off. Thanks.
  15. I've just had my two done at Vets4Pets in the new building at Birley Moor. They were very good with them - had two free check ups afterwards and it wasn't more than £40 each. The only problem I had was that they said they would be open in time for me to drop off the buns on my way in to work and then weren't, so make sure you don't need to drop them off until 8.30am at the earliest!
  16. Hello. We're looking for a good builder to dig out the front of our house to add a driveway. Any recommendations or people willing to come and give us a price would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks.
  17. Hello. We would be interested in three. Please let me know when and where to collect from. Thanks.
  18. I'm a sap for sob stories so recently rehomed two males from a friend of a friend who had ended up with too many rabbits due to incorrect sexing. She assured me that the rabbits were older than 6 months, had always been together and had never fought. However since I got them they have indeed fought each other. I am now getting them fixed in the hope that I can keep them together. However I only have one indoor cage and one pet carrier for the transport and recouperation period. Can anyone possibly lend me one for Thursday? I can collect on Wednesday evening and return on Friday evening. I can leave a deposit as security. Many thanks, Jess
  19. Hi. I recently drove past a field behind the Kiveton Park train station that was advertised to let. You can find it by driving to the Station Pub, turning right across the train lines and carry on as if you are going up the hill. The field will be on your right. I hope it's still available for you.
  20. Is there anything I should think of in particular in regards to a cat which is very small and uses the litter tray more than I have ever seen. Could it be worms or something? Thanks.
  21. Looking for a pair of rescue rabbits - where to go? After one of my rabbits died unexpectedly the other one stopped eating or moving much so we managed to find someone locally who had a lonely rabbit and slowly introduced them. They are now living together happily and the old cage is sat lonely and empty in the garden. I would really like to fill it with a couple of buns who are looking for a home, especially seeing as the nice weather *hah* is coming and they could enjoy the summer holidays nibbling in the garden. If you know of any please could you let me know. I am not interested in buying from a breeder. Thanks.
  22. That's so strange - the exact same thing happened to one of my bunnies on Thursday who was the same age. She wasn't herself at all and then suddenly died. Her sister from the same litter is fine however. I rang the vets to get a cause of death but they wanted £500 for an autopsy! What breed was your rabbit Crazy?
