  1. Thanks for the reply. It's just like another language with all this crafty stuff - I feel like the thing I'm looking for would be easily found if I knew the right name for it! Anyone got any ideas? As I said before I thought I had bought some letters but ended up with teeny ones!
  2. Hello. I'm quite new to the world of crafting but have just bought a Sizzix machine. I would like to use it to make letters about 4 inches high. Does anyone know where I could purchase the dies for these to fit my machine? I tried the internet but managed to waste my money on letters that were only 1 inch high! Thanks, Jess
  3. If you're going past S26 I have a few packs you can have for £1 each.
  4. Have you been in contact with Sheffield Parent Partnership? They should be able to sign post you and from September there will be a 'Local Offer' where you can get an online directory of services and groups in Sheffield becoming available. I would also advise contacting St. Mary's on Bramall Lane as they are running some sessions soon about how funding and education are changing - might be very useful as you won't have access to services usually provided in schools I should think.
  5. Thank you everyone for sensible and helpful comments. I was dreading coming back to a page of 'Well you bought a Rottweiler, what did you expect?'! I think the only sensible solution is staring us in the face sadly but I will suggest the dog therapists alongside asking the vet next time he's due for his boosters about the possibility of a brain tumour or something else that could change his personality. Apparently strangely it's the two old ladies on the food advert who are spying through the neighbour's window that sends him bananas!
  6. Hello. I'm not sure there is a solution to this but I would really appreciate any useful and relevant advice. Basically a family member is going to a wedding down South and would like to stay the night at the venue due to the distance. However they have a Rottweiler who they cannot take with them. So we're looking for any possible solutions or ideas. The dog was bought as a puppy and is now about 8 years old. He was a lovely animal for the first four years or so but then became quite ill. This involved lots of trips to the vets due to skin complaints. However every time he went he seemed to get more and more aggressive. We presume (although we know very little about dog psychology!) that it was related as now he seems to have changed in to a different dog. He's become steadily more aggressive, especially towards visitors, since that time - even people he's known and had involvement with all his life. He unexpectedly went for me the other week without any provocation and I have always been around him. He has recently started attacking the TV which is the most bizarre thing of all. The family member-owner is in denial that there is a problem but is there anyone out there who could advise us about dog training or has the situation gone too far for that? Is there anyone who is experienced with this breed who dog sits or has kennels where he could stay? Is anyone mad enough to take on this huge pile of aggression?! Thanks for any help.
  7. I bought mine from Omlet (omlet.co.uk) five years ago. It's plastic so no maintenance required, insulated so buns can stay outside all year and gives them the space they need. Plus it's so easy to clean and fox proof. You're very welcome to come and see mine if you would like before you buy or to answer any questions. Best money I ever spent.
  8. Hi. My friend's cat has escaped during a visit to Newhall Road vets in Sheffield. If anyone is in that area or is involved in rescue in the area she would really appreciate it if you could look at the picture on the link. Thanks very much.
  9. We had a friend design and print them in the end, and decided against the money envelopes. Instead we just had a postbox which was very full at the end of the day. The wedding was fab thanks for asking.
  10. Nooooo!!!!! The one I bought was awful quality - looked nothing like the picture and impossible to return. Plus they deal in fur. Euck! Wish I'd known that before I bought one.

Please message for photos. Thanks, Jess
  12. Nicola Gregory at Uber in Dinnington is doing mine - she ran through several options and it only cost me £15 for 1.5hr trial. I told her it was a vintage style and showed her the dress and she came up with the hair styles to match. Fantastic!
  13. The Beehive in Harthill has a large field where they hold their beer festivals.
  14. Hi. We're looking for quotes for a full renovation on our 1950s ex-Council semi. The toilet and bathroom are separate and need knocking in to one and then renovating. The kitchen needs knocking in to the old coal house and toilet, and then a few interior walls need moving! Everywhere needs skimming and new woodwork - doors and skirting. We're also looking to extend above the new kitchen for a new master bedroom and ensuite. If you could provide us quotes to start the work any time after the last week in August then please message me. Thanks, Jess
  15. Have this cage: http://www.petsathome.com/shop/rabbit-100-guinea-pig-and-dwarf-rabbit-cage-by-ferplast-37559 in pink with all the accessories if you wanted to keep them inside and then put them in a run during the day - weather etc. permitting. We had it for our rabbits when they were neutered and had to be kept in and so I kept it in case they needed to be brought inside for any other reason. That happened this weekend when one needed an operation and when I went to put them in the cage for the night they had grown too big! £45 ono.
  16. Our Maine Coon looked at me like I was a traitor and fled upstairs when we first introduced Bella-the-mog, but after a week or so the relationship began to be built. Just make sure they each have their own eating area and toilet to begin with and then move them closer together before finally combining them. We restricted Bella's movement in the first week to certain rooms in the house so George knew he still was the top-cat. He is certainly in charge in the relationship but he will wash her from time to time!
  17. I bought a mattress from a guy like this for £80 and six months later I can still say it is amazing! It says Tempur on it and I don't know if it is but it is certainly better than the rubbish we bought for £400 from Asda that was replaced once in the first few months of owning it when the springs went.
  18. http://www.kivo-ebiz.co.uk/about This is a lovely charity who I have recently trusted to sell items for me.
  19. We've booked The Cutlers' Hall which is opposite the Sheffield Cathedral tram stop. Couldn't believe how much value for money - it's a beautiful building too. You are tied for your food but it's really worth a look.
  20. As part of our Creative Curriculum next term at school we will be using the theme of a 'Garden Centre' in class. The role play area will feature a shop for the children and I would love to have a selection of wellies for them to try on, price up and 'sell' to one another to aid their maths and also their motor co-ordination skills. If you have any wellies that you would be willing to give me for this then please send me a private PM and I will arrange to collect at a time to suit you. All wellies will be gifted to a charity shop at the end of the topic as I am afraid I am unable to return each pair due to the personal cost of petrol unless you are able to lend me a large number. Many thanks in advance, Jess
  21. I am looking to have some plastic door plates (approx 8" square) made up for where I work with symbols on them for children and young people with special educational needs. Ideally they would be a bright plastic colour with a white symbol engraved/printed on to them. I have tried printing off the symbols and laminating them but attaching them to doors has proved tricky as tape is easily peeled away and blue tack loses its stick as soon as it gets warm/cold. The plates would then be screwed to the doors for a more permanent solution. Any advice would be gratefully received.
