  2. I am going to have a pint of blood taken every week for at least the next 6 months and it's all going to be thrown away, (haemochromatosis).
  3. [quote That's not really gonna work with my desktop is it? I didn't say it would, just saying what I use.
  4. Thanks for that explanation Leah that could be the case but I would have preferred it if the seller had explained that to me instead of coming up with ridiculous excuses.
  5. I use Google Skymap on Android, just point at the sky and it shows you all the stars, planets, constellations .... fascinating app.
  6. Highway Code 113-116: Lighting requirements Law RVLR reg 30 226-237: Driving in adverse weather conditions 115 You should also: use dipped headlights in dull daytime weather, to ensure that you can be seen
  7. I bought this item 271073780604 from Ebay last week for £2.99 it is a coachline for my car and unfortunately I found that the 10 mtrs was not enough to finish the job so I went back onto Ebay to buy another one only to find that the price had gone up to £29.99 an increase of £27.00. Obviously I thought the seller had made a mistake and messaged them only to be told that their original supplier had gone bust. Who in there right minds would consider buying a roll of tape for £30 when they can be bought for less than a fiver at the local car spares.
  8. They want to strike and deprive kids of their education yet parents are to be fined for taking children on holiday during term time.
  9. I would have thought from some of the comments on here that she couldn't organise a **** up in a brewery. :hihi:
  10. My thoughts exactly when I saw the report, and what happened to leaving the car in gear especially on a slope like that. :loopy:
  11. Bright and flashing lights cause mine, but I am lucky I do get the visual disturbance before headaches and if I take 2 pink Migralieve immediately I see the wavy lines I sometimes get no headache at all.
  12. All correct and bearing in mind that the panel lost power on the 10th and yesterday was the 12th the SAB battery will have been flat for a while.
  13. Why? he has lost power to the panel, disconnected the internal battery and the external backup in the bell box will be well flat by now so what will be powering it?
  14. In answer to your original question yes it can be bought over the counter I buy it from Boots.
  15. Back on now, I just phoned them they said the fault had been repaired and went through a reset on my router, I won't hold my breath though as they did the same last week and it went off again after about half an hour.
  16. My BB has been off now for 6 days, according to my provider it is a major service outage. I just wondered if anyone else was affected or am I being fobbed off.
  17. Was this the same Elvo who was a regular in the Black Swan in the late 60s, built like a brick outhouse?
  18. In 1966 I was an apprentice electrician with the NCB we had to go to Dinnington tech for a general mining course and were in classes with other guys who were training to be miners, out of curiosity the tutor said "hands up all the lads who are general miners and have tattoos", most of the lads put their hands up, then he said "hands up all the lads training to be Technicians and have tattoos" not one did. Not the same in this age I suppose but it was a very interesting experiment.
  19. I've had this one several times they are trying to get you to log into a fake "Paypal" website so that they have your login details, forward it to Paypal as it helps them to trace the scammers.
  20. i spent years as a TV aerial engineer and would often remove my shirt when I was working on the roofs but would never dream of walking into a customers house before putting it back on. As others have said it's just a matter of etiquette.
  21. Hi I've just been diagnosed with the hereditary disease Haemachromatosis, which causes a build up of iron in the blood which if not diagnosed early can damage your liver, heart and other organs. I have looked it up on the net and just about know all there is to know about it but I am just wondering if anyone else suffers from it or knows someone who has.
  22. No but it keeps them off the streets and stops them battering some other poor soul.
  23. Yes, they used to park in Asda until they clamped down but that's easily solved, first couple of hours or so free and charge after that.
