mick crowley played not tommy i played left back (harry strutt ) along with the meynell lads and micky wing saw in goal yes we got hammered the game was on a sunday afternoon the first time a game was played on a sunday .. the match was on itv sun afternoon 2nd half we had a great day out there was a good crowd also met b clough and there were a few celebs there bill oddie and others still got the programme some where if you want more info im here.........

hi kirky visited threre myself from the cliffe woudnt have gone but new the barretts polly/malc/steve/kevin also from the cliffe who moved on to the woodthorpe..so we were safe made some good mates there al nicholson / jeff stevenson at the time as you say built from wood...tha lads who built it did a great job....not sure if they closed it down for health and safety reasons ?
