  1. Another one for 7zip. Used winzip for years, until I found this. http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
  2. I think I'm going to have to give up on the LED fan thing. I'm just going to get a cheapie off fleabay and try the UV paint thing. If it looks OK, I'll get a better quality one and do it. If it looks crap, I'll just stick to a quality black one in. You would have thought when your spending £150 on a motherboard, the fan would have come with it
  3. I've seen that one before, only problem is I will then end up with two molex connectors in the middle of my motherboard. Plus all the 50mm fans I've seen have had black cages. i think looking at them all, I'm going to go for the Rasurbo fan. It seems to offer the best airflow. I wonder if I could paint the blades of the fan with UV reactive paint and light it with a UV light?
  4. to be honest, with CD-R being so cheap, I'd rather just use recordable discs.
  5. control panel - administrative tools - computer management
  6. I've found a few places selling 50mm fans but can't find anyone doing LED ones. I just wanted to add a splash of colour under the CPU cooler, but if I can't get one, so be it
  7. Try erasing the disc before you attempt to burn music on it.
  8. When I connect my Desire HD to my laptop or PC and use the 'mount as disk drive' option only the SD card is shown not the internal storage.
  9. Hi all, I've just bought an Asus P67 sabertooth motherboard and I want a 50mm x 10mm thick assist fan for it. I can find a normal one but Iwant an LED fan for it if I can get one. I have found 40mm and 60mm LED fans but not 50mm. Anyone got any ideas where I can get one...
  10. I'm not sure of the best way to do it. My laptop hard disk is SATA and I have a SATA use caddy. I thought that might be the best way but I'm unsure as I've never done it before. All thoughts much appreciated..
  11. Thanks chaps, I've downloaded paragon. It's got good ratings, so I'll give it a try. I'm going to try an SSD in my laptop. What would be the best way to do it? Would it be OK to put the new drive in a USB caddy and write the image directly to it and then fit it? Any thoughts?
  12. Hi all, I'm wanting to upgrade the hard drive in my laptop and wondered if anyone out there can recommend good, free imaging software.
  13. I hope you don't mean we'll charge you 40 for the belt but tell you we've fitted a new motor?
  14. start with the obvious first. I.e. volume turned right down or sound muted. might sound silly but you'd be surprised how many people miss things like that. missed first post, I'm on my phone at the moment. do computer sounds play, start up sound for example?
  15. I doubt you could reuse the RAM from your current machine on a socket am2+ board. just see what your parts are fetching on eBay and then make a decision.
  16. sounds like the belt has snapped. very easy to fix. should take you no more than half an hour and cost about a fiver.
  17. I'd go with Bonjon's estimate, it's a realistic price
  18. Is this the sort of thing your after... https://www.aria.co.uk/Systems/Home+and+Office/Family+PCs/Proteus+Eclipse+X3+Family+PC+?productId=44185 or do you just want a new tower like this.. https://www.aria.co.uk/Systems/Home+and+Office/Family+PCs/Proteus+X2300+Desktop+PC+?productId=44382 you could always add a dedicated graphics card if you wish
  19. So its a big for OCZ ! Even though it took a little longer than the 14 days. Still not bad though, considering all the bank holidays. Keep us posted with your overclocking results. I'm interested to see how you get on.
  20. Try talking to citizens advice. You may be able to cancel on the grounds that they are failing to provide the service you have asked for or are paying for. My son had similar problems with sky when he first joined them. They also tried the '£105 missed engineers visit' charge. I told him to call them and say he would happily pay the £105, as soon as sky paid him the £400 in lost wages he incurred through having days off work waiting for engineers to come and never turn up. Not even a phone call to say they weren't coming.
  21. Found this.... http://downloadmirror.intel.com/15206/eng/D865GBF_D865GLC_ProductGuide02_English.pdf It looks like your board doesn't support dual core CPU's.
  22. I know you don't want to pay this much, but I'm on Voda and I got a free desire HD with 600 mins unlimited texts and 500Mb data for £25.50/month. I didn't think it was a bad deal.
  23. Microsoft Excel Viewer only allows you to view and print excel files. i am using office 2010 and I'm not sure of the options with Viewer, but to find which version it is click help>about. That should give you the version of the software. Have a look at tools>options see if there is anything there about display options or see if you can alter the zoom settings to enable you to see all the workbook. This is the latest version of Excel Viewer if you want to try it... http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=1cd6acf9-ce06-4e1c-8dcf-f33f669dbc3a&displaylang=en
  24. I bought something from them some years ago. I arranged to call in for my order and they were fine about it. It is really just an office and a warehouse though, well it was then anyway.
