Hosted by the Sheffield Sellers on Etsy team, the market will have over 50 high quality stalls from local makers and artists where you'll be able to start (and finish!) your Christmas shopping in one wonderful weekend.   5. Join me at for this hands-on workshop and learn how to use one of the most frequently used millinery materials, sinamay, as well as a variety of feather manipulation techniques. This workshop is perfect for learning a millinery skill that you can develop and recreate at home. All materials and equipment will be provided and you will require only basic sewing skills, although you may be using a glue gun. You may also want to bring an apron with you too as sinamay can catch on clothing when being used.   6. The Sheffield Sellers on Etsy Team are hosting the Sheffield Etsy Made Local Market on 2nd – 4th December 2016 at the stunning Sheffield Town Hall – and we want you to join us! If you sell on Etsy, you may have seen the promotion around this nationwide event which is co-branded with Etsy, but run by team members. You can find the full terms and conditions for potential market vendors on the application form, but here are some of the key points: You’ll need to be an Etsy seller to take part, but it’s not too late to open up a shop. We will welcome applications from handmade, vintage and craft supplies Etsy sellers, as long as they are a member of the Sheffield Sellers on Etsy team. Join us if you haven’t done already! Applications close at midnight on Sunday 17th July 2016. Stalls will cost £90 for the Friday evening and all day Saturday and Sunday. Friday is a preview evening for invited guests (including two very special ones!) but it will still be a selling event. Priority will be given to applicants who can do all three days, but there are to opportunities to share stalls, to have more space and to only do certain days. You can submit a joint application if you know of a fellow seller that you’d like to share a stall with, or we can try to find someone for you to share with. Applications will be reviewed by the Sheffield Sellers on Etsy leadership team, who are aiming to curate a market with a wide variety of high-quality goods and little, if any, duplication. You will be notified whether or not your application has been successful by 4th September 2016.   11. I've always used instantprint for flyers, they are based in Rotherham and only charge £4.99 for delivery. They also offer a template service for their folded leaflets if you don't already have your own design.

  15. i use a sum up machine, no monthly fees, 2% fee per transaction. it links to my phone via bluetooth thanks to the android app. they do regular code offers for £20 off which brought the one off price down to about £45 for the machine, VAT and delivery. payments for my sales go into my account with 1-3 working days. hope that helps, x

Introduction to Millinery Felt: Headpiece £30.00 Saturday 18th July: 11 to 2pm All Good Stuff, 72 Arundel Street, Sheffield, S1 2NS In this workshop you will design and create your own unique felt headpiece. This workshop is perfect if you are not confident with sewing as only a small amount will be required. The techniques to be used include; creating a template, a variety of cutting methods and a small amount of sewing. This workshop is also perfect for learning a millinery skill that you can develop and recreate at home. All materials and equipment will be provided and you will require only basic sewing skills, although you will be using craft knives. There is a certain amount of fluff involved in this project, so you may want to bring an apron with you too. ***Please note that this workshop is NOT suitable for people with wool allergies. No Sewing Feather Fascinator Workshop Sunday 21st June 11am to 12.30pm Exchange Place Studios, Exchange Street, Sheffield, S2 5TR As part of Sheffield Design Week and the Castlegate Festival, in addition to the Pop Up Shop and the studio tours at Exchange Place, I will also be running a workshop at my studio. In this workshop you will design and create your own unique feather fascinator. This workshop is perfect if you are not confident with sewing as none is required! Working with a range of feathers you will be able to pick and mix from a broad range of textures and colours to create your own personal design . This workshop is also perfect for learning millinery skills that you can develop and recreate at home. All materials and equipment will be provided but if you have a special something you want to incorporate into your design, please do bring it with you. There is a certain amount of fluff involved in this project, so you may want to bring an apron with you too. Suitable for adults and children aged 12 upwards, but all under 18's must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum of 8 spaces available, £10 per person. Get ahead of the pack with your Christmas pressie making with this versatile technique which can be used with a wide range of materials.   24. The Hat Stand is very proud to be supporting Brain Tumour Research and their nationwide fundraising campaign #WearAHatDay on Friday 27th March. However, the shop will be extending that celebration of hats and fun through into Saturday 28th March. So how can you get involved? Very easily! Simply stop by the shop to don a hat and have your photograph taken for sharing with the national #WearAHatDay campaign. If you have a favourite hat of your own, please do feel free to wear that. All we ask is that you make a small donation for having some fun with us. The Hat Stand will also be selling wristbands and pin badges to raise funds for this incredibly worthwhile charity throughout their tenancy.
