Hi Ab im a promoter come dj for anything late 40s and 50s rock n roll / rockabilly doowop i have been in the scene for a life time and know the vintage scene as you would call it for 35 years i play vinyl cd and or laptop for more choice but it would be up to you i guess i also can find live rockin rollin bands that would prob fit your budget too lol please pm me thank you if you are interested thanks

  6. Ok everyone some great news after an absence of many many years the Chesterfield Carnival is back !! Sat 26th July 2014 for more info please email spartan141@hotmail.com no booking in req.. just turn up on the day from 10pm plz We want your Classic Cars and Bikes/Scooters cars of interest ect and even old competition cars..! British/American and European/Jap ect to attend the carnival Free Admission for all vehicles but bucket collections will be there and all monies raised will go to Ashgate Hospice . Saturday 26th July at Stand Road Park Chesterfield Free entry for all • The parade kicks off at 11:00am, led by original show band the Chesterfield Musketeers • Featuring the Chesterfield Carnival Queen with her royalty, Muskies and Maidens • The carnival will be officially opened by the original founder, Mr Trevor Oldfield • Classic Car & Motorcycle Show. • Chesterfield Football Club players and staff will be in attendance • Live music from top local bands, with a fully licensed bar area • Fairground rides for all ages • Food and refreshments available • Dog show • Competitions • Displays • Arena entertainment • Superheroes including Iron Man • and much, much more If you’re from Chesterfield, you live in Chesterfield, you work in Chesterfield – or you simply love Chesterfield! – you need to get behind this event! Hi there i know a lot of the classics that are out and about are usable classics and not trailer queens. a lot of shows around the places i go to have a used section of award (patine class) which i think is the way to go for some awards lol what do you think of this ? ...also being from chesterfield i saw a load of folks from north derbyshire in the show which is good in one sense but maybe you could advertise it more in those areas as well ! great foot fall this year too fantastic of you guys well done to all concerned

  10. been there and done that one too from its early days ...its the same there ! silly boy races and folks just waiting at the gates to see a burn out....dohhh ! again i dont mind it but organizers need to categorize the cars pre 60 pre 70 pre 80 ect and put em in there own section it just gets boring now walking around shows with loads of modern tripe in the same arena classic means classic lets keep it that way ! listen dont get me wrong iv had rally cars as i used to do road rallys when they was proper road rallys not what you have today ! iv had mki mk2 escorts sunbeams minis ect so i have a few in my time !

Rennishaw Hall was ok but too many people there with cars that i thought was just parking up for the show i had a lexus to my left and a bmw to my right both not 3 yrs old what the hell i though is this show a classic car show or a motor show don't know if ill bother next year too many wanna b's in modern cars taking up valuable space a proper classic could have had ...makes the show proper boring tooo

  13. yes there is a local ish club in chesterfield which hold monthly gigs and a yearly all dayer on sat June 9th the next gig is on sat 7th april with a band called the heartbeats the club is situated near to brimington chesterfield the addy is 34 station road hollingwood chesterfield s43 2hp and is at the brsa club . the club is called chesterfield rock n roll club and is well established and well run by Andy and graham both of whom are from Sheffield they can be contacted on 07950871002

Here we have a fab night out at Crookes social club on Friday 23rd march......50s rock n roll jive bop and stroll night with one of the top rock n roll DJs in the area 'Andy b' with the Rockhouse record hop (or disco for all those that mat be confused) but top of the bill for the night will be a live band ''The Memphis Riders'' all this for a measly sum of £5 yes £5 on the door no ticket required so if you like to jive bop or join in with the girls to a stroll then come along to a friendly club and join in with the fun the DJ will be playing everything from classics to some you may not know that will be great to jive too so come on Sheffield all of this is for a great local fundraising event called ''under the stars'' again all this happens from 7.30 till 12.30 pm at Crookes social club mulehouse road Crookes s10 http://www.facebook.com/events/335329633184872/
