  3. I have just been watching a programme on BBC 3 called "make bradford british" and some things have been said which i totally agree with and some i dont some examples below: A black women said that "the "N" word is unacceptable for people to use, and if a white man can't use it then neither can i" now thats so true and living around pitsmoor and sharrow as i grew up i have heard people using this as a normal word (Black peoples conversations) this has always peed me off a little and finally a black women understands. Also seeing white people using such terms as "P**I Bashing" and "Black B*****D" even though he meant it as a joke is still disgusting. What i want to understand is what makes you british and what your thoughts on the kind of language used between people is?? To me to be British (or any nationality or whatever) you must feel it in your heart whatever you feel is what you are also the answer to the other question is racist language is severely inappropriate but i would most definately like to point out that it is not all directed to black people and people from differant backgrounds as a white male myself working as a door supervisor (Bouncer) people get peed off at me alot and people from other backgrounds quickly start directing racism at me now. The biggest issue i have with this is i think police treat racism to white people in this country differant to racism on foriegners let me explain and give examples a somali women was thrown out of my venue by me for being drunk and disordly she then sed "F**K america" i immediately turned to my partner who was a black women and sed by that does she mean white people, she then bit me and was hurling abuse like "White trash" and "English C**T" the police arrived i didnt press charges for the bite coz it comes with the job but i said i wanted something doing about the racism, all they did was move her away. these kind of incidents have happened several times and its always the same outcome, we will move them on. Now a black bouncer close friend of mine was called the "N" Word by a white male he jumped on him radioed for the police and the man was thrown in a police van and was charged a fine for the abuse. now if anything my incident was worse as i also got assaulted but 2 very differant outcomes. its a case of P.C gone wrong so whats your views What makes you british and what your thoughts on the kind of language used between people is?? Also share any experiences you have i am really interested this Thanks for reading

  5. u made some good points but people dont like to listen to full songs as they sometimes get boring and they dont like the breaks in songs SOOO a DJ then creates a build up by beat matching and mixing songs into one another, also some people like the remixes others make and the DJ will play that in their set so yes we are not making music but we are finding songs that link into eachother without a break and without the same tune dragging on to lesser the chance of people getting bored in my opinion the best DJs are the ones who change songs and make people think "wer have i heard this tune before" then suddenly the song gets started and people realise the song thats being played. the best DJs can mix songs into eachother without it sounding like theyve done anything, the worst Djs are the ones who spoil the songs with stupid stupid effects
  6. Thanks man im using an ION ICUE by the way its only a cheap lil thing coz like i sed its a hobby and Virtual DJ pro 7 And BTW if anyones gonna comment on my page or owt then please have some sort of idea what your on about
  7. but thats all DJs do they mix music together by beatmatching they dont create music they just link em together now linking music together is a talent coz u need to find out what goes with what
  8. Finally some decent advice thank you i do try to mix songs without people noticing but u have to agree that the equipment used does make it easier but the equipment i have makes it hard so this is why i think i have some skill and from working a bar i see DJ's all the time that have no idea and sometimes think to myself i can do better with the equipment they have thanks for the last 2 comments advice is taken on board P.S nice to see some actually want to help and not just try put people down
  9. LOL u managed to read it though, my employment at the minute by the way at 19, ive just left college and ive got a ND sport and excerise sciences award, i do bar work at nights and during day i coach football also ive just passed the SIA door supervisors course and sent of for my badge. effectively im on enough pay as it is to say ive just left college i probz get paid more per hour than a lot of ppl do, just coz u can put fullstops in the right place doesnt make you better than everyone else anyway this post was on my music HOBBY and seeing as you still cant understand what constructive criticism means or your just being plain ignorant and saying "dont give up your day job" or even maybe u cant give constructive criticism coz u have no experience in DJing then please just go away buddy that goes for upinth aswell or whatever his name is thats the last from me ppl now im not experienced in DJing after 5 months so if anyone can give constructive criticism then please do preferably from DJs themselves coz theyve been their and know what theyre on about im not gonna lower myself anymore to childish people thanks
  10. my point exactly u might not like the music being mixed but go to any club or bar or whatever and all the stuff is in the charts that i mix by the way with a cheap 50 quid mixer coz like i said its a hobby most of these "good" DJ's have 4 grand sets just look up the prices they pay 600 quid minimum for the computer they use which is normally a mac
