  1. My mum Rosanna Capewell, went to Fairthorne in the late 50s - its only just come back to her although she can't remember why. She was a skinny kid, nickname 'Olive' so perhaps that's why.
  2. I've just spoken to my mum and she's says hello. Its funny, she was only saying yesterday when I was with her that her mum would pop round to your mums then she'd go round looking for her mum and be given a biscuit. Have you come across anyone else you've not seen for years?
  3. My mum lived on Oxted Road around that time, Capewell was the family name. Mum Rose, Dad Frank, Kids Rosanna, Frank, Geoff and Joan.
  4. I was only a kid but can remember catching the bus for 2p to go to town with my mum 5p. She would buy clothes take them home, try them on, they wouldn't fit so we'd catch the bus back to town, as buses were every 5 mins. Then we moved to a Lincolnshire village where you only had 2 buses a day and fares alot higher!! 1960 - 1976 My mum used to work as a clippe and my dad was a bus driver and my grandad, does anyone remember them. Rosanna Capewell, Frank Capewell, Alan Betson. Frank Capewell has since died aged 89.
  5. Anyone remember Rosanna Capewell born 1946, lived Oxted Road, Shiregreen had two brothers Frank and Geoff and a sister Joan. Went to Shiregreen School. Friends with a Jacqueline Hardwick, anyone remember Jacqueline. Rosanna worked at English Steel for many a few years then became a bus conductress at Greenland Road where she met Alan Betson he was the bus driver. Rosanna then moved to Wincobank in 1969 when she got married and became Rosanna Betson.
  6. I'm helping my mum trace old school friends. Does anyone know of a Jacqueline Hardwick or Pat Johnson. My mum was Rosanna Capewell - do you remember her? She lived on Oxted Road. Hope you can help.
