  1. ive had the displeasure of this man on a bus recentely too, he harrased a younger woman before coming to sitting next to me, the bus was nearly empty, so no reason to sit so close, he nearly sat on me so i turned round an said do you mind an he moved to the seat behind me an tried to say something in my ear but had my ear phones in so could say what he said, he was wearing the hat with the floppy sides that makes me feel like its the same person, freaked me out
  2. i live in gleadless valley an have never experienced any crime around here, it's not fair that we are all being tarred with the same brush when the majority of us are law abiding
  3. having the same ideas myself now, used to be alright round here
  4. 'leccy went off here too at newfield green, didnt hear an explosion though
  5. My partner fell for this after very heavy pressure selling and gave her details I rang the next day to sort it out, i asked where these kind people on commision or doing it for the love of animals. they get £18 for every direct debit they set up so the first 3 months of giving is to pay the door knockers then the charity starts to get the money you give after this. we got a letter of apology about the way it was sold
  6. Yes we have been many times. Its a cracking real ale pub with 8 hand pumps on usually 4 from spire and 4 guest beers and at excellent prices. when they took it over it was a real dump but dave (head brewer) and barry have really turned it round already with grander plans to improve facilities. Beer Spot on as always and a warm and knowledgeable welcome from the team. Worth the trip and yes a bit biassed dave a friend of ours just tell them rotherham camra recomended it. http://www.spirebrewery.co.uk
  7. All prams are subject to drivers descretion, low floor max 2 prams, none low floor folded only. i have helped them by holding baby but wont fold them pram as i had a claim in that i broke the pram folding it for them. I know one double three wheeler pram where the mother spends 10 minutes taking 2 wheels off as it wont go between the wheel arches to the pram area. young mothers think its a right to bring their pram on whether you have two on or non low floor. they ask what am i to do and you suggest folding it the verbal you get is unreal sometimes especially boarding round the market area. the real frustration to many is when 2 prams are on and the child is at the back of the bus with someone else, ask them to fold it so you can let another child in a pram on and boy do some people show their true selfish colours
  8. As a bus driver (not one of the miserable gits) every trip i do, someone always plays their music on their phone, i do not tolerate it, common coutersy isnt in their vocablary although they did get to the common bit. I always pull the bus up and use sarcasm that goes over thier heads but the adults do get. If i have to stop again then the door is there for them to use, but this is what has happened in the past. 1. They go home tell there parents they were thrown off bus for no reason and the driver swore at them, then behold your in "the star" 2. I've had parents waiting for me on the return trip for again swearing at his darling daughter who does no wrong. Having twice been tried to be dragged out of the cab. 3. My parentage and self indulgance upon myself is allways in question. All the verbal abuse is like water off a ducks back because it is cancelled out by the thanks of other passengers as they get off themselves, but usually only from women of maturing years. I allways get a witness name and address for when i am dragged in the office for some made up version of the event to excuse them being late home. If a driver or conductor does do something about it please ask if they want you as a witness for the repocussions later. And yes the girls are worse than boys because if some bloke if being made late home, then he will quite often suggest to the lads what will do to prevent them producing children themselves if they dont turn it off
  9. kids'll hopefully be in bed an me an b/f are gona stay in front of the tele an have a few drinks i think an watch independence day
  10. When i do get to go out to the pub the ones i choose are the ones that sell quality real ales as i dont like the taste of alot of battled ones to drink at home, plus the atmosphere in most pubs i have been in has been great, even if ya dont know anyone in there
  11. They have the option of taking there out of date pass to a Transport Executive shop an purchasing a severly discounted monthly travelmaster for just £20, so they have no excuses for this
  12. Im really lucky to have found 2 great honest and true friends that will be there for me no matter what, an the same goes for me fo them, good friends like these are hard to find, but if you do find them they're your friends for life no matter what happens
