  1. I believe you Can get next years tickets for £20 today i'm sure that's affordable to everyone
  2. There will be a minority of citizens of this great city that will be absolutely fuming that this has been a universal success
  3. As a resident of the area, I've got to congratulate all involved in the planning, organising and executing of what has to be one of the greatest weekends I've seen in this city in my 40 years, from the Staff inside the park serving, cleaning or being a helpful presence to the lads and lasses outside sat at the end of the roads and the security staff guiding you, every single one of you did the city proud. As for the event itself, well I just hope it has fully put Sheffield and more importantly to me Hillsborough firmly on the festival map, and I also hope it encourages more events of a similar nature to look at the park as a place for them to hold events. Anyone that could find fault with this event are the same people who will always try and keep Sheffield down but then moan when something like this happens in Leeds. This small minority need to have a long hard look at themselves and really reevaluate why they are so quick to be offended and always find themselves arguing against the vast majority of the city In fact the only negativity to come out of this weekend is towards the unite union who thought they would disrupt this great event with there ridiculous decision to strike. instead of getting the city on its side in its dispute, it actually had the opposite effect Well done tramlines, well done Hillsborough and well done Sheffield
  4. I'm not on Facebook so cant comment on that, and it wasn't my intention to compare it to the Kasbar I was just saying that I felt it gave a little nod to it which was what we all said when we walked in but agree its similar to madia vale, and to the best of my recollection isn't much different in pricing either I will be going back and really hope it takes off, cant have enough good bars for me
  5. Couldn't Disagree more with the opening post, I went in Friday night at about 10 with my wife, her sister and the brother in law and we had a great few hours in there. I thought the décor was done great especially with the illuminated long tables, the music and style is obviously towards the indie rock anthems that I grew up with in the 90's and 00's, I also like to think there is a little nod to Sheffields history of music and clubs especially the Kasbar. Yes the drinks are a little more expensive but nothing drastic and the waitress service is a great touch This in my opinion is a great addition to the Sheffield night life scene and something music wise that has been missing from Sheffield since the closure of the Kasbar
  6. Wasn't meaning in the laughing sense I meant the lack of action from South Yorkshire's finest I now knowvofv5 lads in the last few weeks who's had their vans emptied
  7. Another one done tonight broke into his van while he was having his tea, alarm went off he ran out and found them taking his gear, they knocked him over getting away This is a joke now what's the police doing
  8. Friend also got done the same way just off Halifax road last night, but don't forget to tweet SYP or phone 101 so they can log it and add it to their to do list
  9. Totally agree I've lived in hillsborough over 30 years and the decline in the last 5 years has been astounding, it once was a great place to live but not any more
  10. Thanks one of the lads did mention that looking back he felt that a white van had followed him from the old cadet field down towards wadsley lane
  11. Last week I heard of at least 5 vans being broken in to in hillsborough area ( 2 of which were mates works vans) now this week 3 bikes have been nicked out of garages/sheds, I hope South Yorkshire police are stepping up their patrols and numbers to catch the scum who are doing this to honest hard working people
  12. Maybe but what about the customers its got was only 10 years ago it was in the top3 biggest grossing pubs in Sheffield, Iknow for a fact that it was the best performing pub in south yorkshire when the brewery sold it a couple of years ago, it was only sold as a perk for buying 5 other pubs that was running at a loss
  13. Just found out that The Park Hotel is removing sky tv from the pub, surely this is the final nail in the coffin of a once great pub. In my mind there is nothing to stop it being turned into a full restaurant, which it appears is what the brewery and landlord wants
  14. Normally would agree but when the police did turn one officer spoke to mr and said the same kids had been at it in the fair and been chucked out, so it appears they just moved it elsewhere ie up from kfc
