  1. Considering his age, then has to be the holiday (assuming you get on with him). You would always regret not taking it if you dont, even if you need a car.
  2. It doesnt win elections though. People like to have their own side supported and also point out the weaknesses n the opposition. More effective than just being positive. Its all over anyway. Doubt there been a bigger mismatch at a GE for many years.
  3. Do you ever do any research yourself and teach yourself stuff? 1. Its paid for by the charity or its donated directly. Food banks can join an organisation like Trussel who work with manufacturers top take deliveries of excess food stocks. https://www.trusselltrust.org/what-we-do/ 2. It works on a voucher scheme whereby people like social workers, GPs, health workers and CAB advisors can give people they assess are in need a voucher, which can then be taken to a foodbank where they get 3 days worth of basic food. 3. People went without as they do now. 4. All sorts of people use foodbanks. The criteria is they have been assessed by a frontline worker who sees they are in need. Because of the voucher system then nurses wont as of routine use them but believe it or not Nurses and working people can get into trouble just like people on benefits. It might be debt, business failure, family crisis , redundancy that leaves them with no money and no food, but a family to feed. very strange you mention just nurses. 5. Toiletries they will supply. Not sure about fog food, but I imagine they do have a reserve of stuff. they decide what to stock plus they will also get donations. ---------- Post added 11-05-2017 at 23:09 ---------- They are assessed, so they dont get to just apply.
  4. Good point I was more encouraging the OP to do a basic google search to get the information himselfm vbut pointing out I found it with little trouble under 30 seconds. It is readily available. That way you arent reliant on others plus you can see it for your own eyes.
  5. £9,785.00 . You cant have made much effort to look. It is all there for each counselor.
  6. Is he referring to the difference in exchange rate since Brexit? £ v $ and £$ v Euro? £ is much weaker these days about 14% since Brexit. That has happened naturally through the markets. A devaluation is deliberate government action to make it so.
  7. And how much of the total world banking community does that represent? Expects to , has proposed and a number of branches are hardly the words of earth shattering change are they.
  8. I dont believe they will do it for personal customers and its easier to charge them a fee plus close accounts as per First Direct. When I hear of tales of Banking elites on SF I tend to mix those in with the conspiracy theorists and Illuminati threads.
  9. No No No Only if government passed laws to enable them to do so.
  10. If an adult or child needs to go then they go. Obviously you would try to control yourself and go beforehand, but in the instance where you couldnt control your blader or were about to vomit, then you would make your excuses and leave. In court or not. Inconvenient or not. The judge wouldnt want you wetting yourself. Nobody in a meeting would either. Common sense would have you going beforehand, but when you have to go then you have to go. ---------- Post added 06-05-2017 at 12:55 ---------- You would be ok for a child wetting themselves if they couldnt hold it. Quality teaching.
  11. Honestly dont ever see UKIP coming back. They have been judged as a one issue party and served their purpose.
  12. They are correct. the cut off point is 16 hours at which stage the person needs to claim working tax credits. If they asked the employer (as suggested by hairyloon) to work 15.5hours then they could still claim JSA , but it would be deducted £ for £ and it is unlikely they would get any actual JSA money. They could still get other passport benefits though such as HB without having to prove much. Get a benefits assessment and see how much better off they would be on WTC. As they know they are going to be working that for 4 weeks then a WTC claim should be submitted asap. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/help-if-on-a-low-income/working-and-child-tax-credits/
  13. If i'd needed to have one, then I would have gone permission or not.Obviously it wasnt long after lunch, but some people have weak bladders. the fact she could hold it for 2hrs does rather show t wasnt that important though. I would still have a word with the school though. Considering the replies seems most of you disagree and wouldnt mind a child wetting themselves to prove a point.
  14. A £1 from 1970 had the purchasing power of £15.10 in todays money.
  15. You should at least put what area of law it is even if you are reluctant to describe the situation.
  16. Its always good to see you once again putting Yorkshire down. It's only been going since 2015. Steven Kruijswijk came in 74th and 103rd in the first two stages and hads only ever won the 2014 Arctic race of Norway. Hardly a loss.
  17. How many packets of Blue Riband do you buy a month? Why would you be boycotting? Do you only buy products made in Britain?
  18. Why did my thread get deleted? It just had a poll attached good or bad idea. It had a warning for people not to be idiots, but it is a Sheffield news story and not just sport. Its on the front pages of the BBC news site. He is innocent as far as the law goes, but he remains controversial and potentially toxic. that is why its an interesting subject.
  19. Ofc its the norm, just like using the internet and media are the norm. She chooses to not do it because its not in her interest to do so. ---------- Post added 19-04-2017 at 20:02 ---------- Im with all the people who can see it makes sense for T May not to debate so as to deny any of the others the opportunity to outshine her and get their message across. T May has a massive lead so she can only lose it. She is a poor debater and doesnt come across with conviction, so its too risky. I do think the public lose out on seeing how good a leader the candidates might be by seeing them debate with each other. As it is it will just be a rubber stamp fo the government, or at least thats whats expected. Shame the opposition are not a credible alternative. Does mean Labour will have a new leader later this year if as expected they lose.
  20. Everyone buys ISIS oil, the rebels, smugglers into Turkey, Assad.# Turkey is still a valuable member of Nato and secular at the moment. Erdogan is a bit of a nut job. ---------- Post added 10-04-2017 at 01:44 ---------- Compared to the Germans they did have. You have a very distorted view of history.
  21. Why would you be shocked? Because a US carrier fleet wouldnt be worried about a Russian Frigate? It obviously wouldnt fire on it unless fired upon. If they wish to fire cruise missiles they cna ignore the Russian ship. If the Russian ship was dumb enough to attack the US, then it hardly takes a great imagination as to what would happen. Maybe people have a problem with dictators using chemical weapons on children. Not something you seem able to understand. Not as though any civilians have died due to the Russian actions is it. You are really careful with your dumb munitions. You are seriously bringing up the opium wars.....Oh dearie me. Russia has a perfect foreign policy where everyones its friend ofc. There isnt a hatred towards arabs in general. there is a dislike for ISIS. Do you approve of ISIS? I thought Russia ha its own domestic terrorist problems or is that all made up? ---------- Post added 08-04-2017 at 22:22 ---------- Why does he live here of he despises it so much?
  22. I'd have thought it was only natural to be more concerned about people dying in your own country. there is no clear way in Syria other than for people to talk and reach a political solution. Most of the people dying are brown people killing brown people. If the west intervened youd be slating them for intervening. ---------- Post added 08-04-2017 at 22:09 ---------- We do know because they were the decisions at the time on how they selected the cities to bomb. They didnt just do it for fun. t was an easy choice compared to the possible allied casualties. It worked. Many more Japanese would have died in a conventional war. You go back to your fantasies then.
  23. By the time it came to the invasion of Japan they were quite used to fighting the Japanese. They were scared of them because they had overwhelming force. Bombing them was practical. It was not possible that the Japanese would have just surrendered. They were digging n and preparing for invasion. They had a targeting committee and they specifically aimed to achieve maximum psychological impact. The Japanese didnt surrender after the first and so the second was dropped to show them the US had more than one. This achieved the psychological impact as intended. Dropping a bmb on a small field would not have done that. It was inevitable if you end up gassing people then some might get upset. Assad thought he could get away with it. He got a slap on the wrists, so guess he will have to stick to barrel bombing civilians instead. ---------- Post added 08-04-2017 at 18:52 ---------- It doesnt matter whether SF has evidence. Clearly the US believe they had sufficient evidence. There was really no gain for them to just randomly attack. It was a limited strike. It wasnt intended to wipe out Assad or the Syrian airforce. Big deal theres a Russian Frigate near a carrier group. I doubt the US is exactly trembling. What do you think the Russians will do fire directly on the US? ---------- Post added 08-04-2017 at 18:55 ---------- Except thats not the point. In their minds its lets give them a slap on the wrist and a reminder not to use chemical weapons, which means its back to the barrel bombs. If for some reason he started renewed chemical attacks he would get the same again.
