Highly recommended ๐ป๐ปโ -
Hi, I am in the process of crocheting twiddle muffs and twiddle mats for dementia residents in a local care home, and wondered if anyone would be interested in joining me? Both twiddle muffs and twiddle mats are very easy to make, and are a great way to put all those scraps of yarn to good use. ๐There are plenty of images and patterns to be found on google, although they are fun to just create as you go along. All items would be greatly appreciated. If you think this is something you would like to do please let me know. I would be happy to collect finished items.

Craft fairs ?? stalls for a beginer?
pixlestar replied to lil peachums's topic in Sheffield Crafts Group
Hi, yes Stallfinder is a good start, also the events page here on Sheffield Forum. Keep your eyes open for flyers of forth coming fayres on supermarket and local shops notice boards. Good luck and enjoy :-) -

I did! :-)...Had a great time and have to admit I did splash out a bit...I bought quite a lot of stuff from the MDF Man, at those prices it was hard to resist. Also, a craft bag, some earrings, 5 small plaster faces from the Powertex stand ....I would have liked to have done one of their workshops but was too late...some little compartment boxes and house for some altered art pieces....I could quite easily have spent more but managed a little bit of self restraint....So glad you made it....looking forward to the next one....the saving starts tomorrow :-)

Hi, I don't personally have any experience or information, however I am sure Sheffield Carers may be be able to help with advice and maybe point you in the right direction. Their website can be found at: http://www.sheffieldcarers.org.uk/ -

My recommendation of a great little shop

I called in last week after seeing it as I drove past...I was only on a flying visit so just had a quick look round, but couldn't see any information on the workshops/ classes they run and have not been able to find anything online either. Do you have any information of future events? -
How cheap would buses need to be for you to use them?
pixlestar replied to Zamo's topic in General Discussions
It isn't particularly the cost that stops me using buses, it's the bad attitude of some of the drivers...on a rare bus journey recently we witnessed the driver get a great deal of pleasure out of watching an elderly man running for the bus...which was parked waiting at the bus stop...just as the would be passenger reached the doors, the driver closed them and drove off with a smug smirk on his face. Nice, I am sure it made his day. However....Karma never loses an address -
Hi....just to let you know, if you haven't already tried this....call round all your neighbours to see if he has been locked in their garage or shed. Our cat had been missing since last Tuesday and turned up earlier today in a garage a couple of roads away. Also, have you put some cards in local shops with a description and maybe a photo? I really hope he turns up soon, I know exactly what you are going through.
