  1. My daughters bikes gear change is broken. Its the type that you turn on the handle bar. Does anyone know if/how this can be fixed at a reasonable rate? Halfords want £30 (includes labour) but to be honest the bike was only £50 so ideally don't want to be spending that much. Is a "Giant" mountain bike. Thanks.
  2. Im looking into putting my young son (21 months) into nursey so I can work more hours and wondered if anyone knew what this nursery was like? Thanks
  3. Im looking for a DJ for a couple of hours for my daughters party. Any recommendations? Thanks
  4. Longley park is the pits! I live very close to it but i never take my children there as the playground is awful. I take them to hillsborough/graves/endcliffe park! Much more to do at each of these parks and the playgrounds are much more superior!
  5. Hi, its my sons 1st birthday in May and i want a personalised cake for him. Any ideas/bakerys/shops?? Thanks
  6. ive booked the room for by partners 30th in sept! £65 room hire, £50 bond, £100 for DJ, they can provide caterers for the food or you can do it yourself. Note that if less than 50 people turn up on the day they will increase the room hire to £150 to cover the bar staff they will put on! I didnt know this when we booked and paid the bond. When we paid room hire this year they made my partner sign a contract stating the room hire increse. Not sure i would have booked it if id have known then as you can invite 150 people and not all will come! Nice room though x
  7. i have a little girl who is 3 and just to imagine her cold, scared and all alone just makes me go cold! I really hope she has been found safe xx
  8. My brother has a staffie and my children will never go to his house unless the dog is outside and even then its very rare! My brother says the dog is well trained and wont hurt them but my 2 kids are my life and if anything happened to them which could have been preventable ie not going to a house where a staffie lives then imo thats bad parenting and i would be riddled with guilt!
  9. Hillsborough WMC on Bradfield road host parties...£65 room hire (£150 if less than 50 guests turn up) £50 bond and £100 for DJ...you can do your own food
  10. then i would say that she is only part funded because she doesnt have many nursing needs. A call to social servivrs will answer any questions. If she was discharged there from hospital then ring the hospital and ask to speak to the discharge liason nurse.
  11. Hi, it depends on her needs...if she has many needs (nursing) then she would be fully funded by the health service. Some people are only funded so much and so a top up fee is required inorder to pay for the cost of the care in the home. Much of it also is to do with the persons savings...if they have lots in savings then they are self funded until that runs out (i think they can have £1000 approx in savings to keep) then the health service would pick up the bill.
