  1. My nan (101 next month) was born in 1919 and always told us about her uncles who were the 'Edward Brothers' and she had seen someone get their throat cut when she was young. So they must have been around 1900. Her dad had a small shop too, he used to money lend too from the sound of it but it all ended when someone threw an axe through the window. She went to the school at the top of Prince of Wales road so guessing it was around there but lived up Pitsmore all the time I've known. Always told us about her mum who was always boxing/fighting. I'm guessing back in those days each street probably had its own trouble, but the thing about a throat being cut always stood out as something out of the ordinary
  2. that's sweet man! My username on the site: lostzombies.com is 'Laz' if you want to contact me on there or work things out, Im on there everyday so it's the best place to contact me (I keep forgetting my password for this site lol)
  3. Hey sorry for some reason the email response didnt work for me All the replies sound great! The best thing is probably take a look at the site and see if any part interests you chanser- both really, a lot of the most effective footage is the first person stuff, like blair witch project, but we have all type and style by both amateur and prof people all are usefull and will end up in the final film, some of the best stuff has been done by people just with a home video camera talking to the lens !
  4. Personally I never go walking (which is at least once a day- have a dog) without a stout stick ( to be honest its an oak staff with a great gnarled lump on the end) not only for helping up the steep bits but for fending off anything that tries to attack me/my dog/family In that past 2 years I have been charged by a horse and two sets of cows (note, all without young) in every incident they came out of their way, a good 200 yards, to get me/dog. luckily shouting foul language at them and swinging the stick at their general direction has worked so far but as a last resort you have a great big piece of wood to take their leg out with (and to lean on when you get tired) there does seem to be a lack of interest in the safety of people using footpaths by people who keep animals on the area lately, putting either blatently nervous/rescue/unstable animals in fields where walkers frequent. The time with the cows it was an actual heard, who stayed back but two young teens were the oens charging and pulling up, with actual droll flyign about and they spun around on the spot bucking their heads, I had to stay around as there was a family with kids in prams about 200 feet behind me
  5. It completely depends up to you, people can do as much or as little work as they want, all submissions are working towards the final aim of a feature length film. Blogs, pictures and films are all wanted, people want scripts written for them or just people to help brainstorm with them. It explains in greater detail on the actual website
  6. Hey, I'm currently looking for people of all skill levels and ages to help put together a feature length film. LOSTZOMBIES.COM Basically we are a community of film makers, photographers, writers and film fans who are coming together to make the World's first community generated film. I'm looking for people who want to make and submit short films or short pieces of footage. I'm also looking for groups/societies in Sheffield to visit and join with the aim of giving out some free promo stuff but also to generally take part in their events. Thanks!
