  1. All very well saying stand up to them but I don't fancy my windows being put in or my car damaged especially if I can't prove who did it even though it would be pretty obvious. As you say you are blessed with good neighbours but some people are in this situation and it is very easy to say take action or move but for some of us that isn't really an option. As I said I am going down the reporting to council route but it does leave me with certain reservations about the outcome.
  2. I'm not sure that I speak for others but I for one am a little wary of retaliation if action is taken, I know that it is all supposed to be confidential but who knows how certain that is!
  3. Or somebody with complete disregard for anybody bit themselves?
  4. We have done but it's a long slow process so in the meantime we put up with it I guess!
  5. We have an issue with a noise in our street, the neighbour concerned isn't himself noisy but when he has visitors, which are many throughout the day all we can hear are bikes revving up and down the road, loud idiots shouting drinking beer and smoking weed and then others who sit on his driveway playing music from their cars blaring out so loud that even with our windows closed it is awful. I would call 101 but as it's sporadic throughout the day I'm not sure it would do much good!
  6. Hi, I work for Sainsburys and as yet there is nothing being advertised internally and that is how they recruit in the first instance, then when they have recruited experienced staff they will advertise externally to fill other vacancies. I would imagine the recruiting process will start sometime in the next month or so. Hope this helps Just another point to add id that Sainsburys do their recruiting via there website so just keep checking there :-)
  7. tbh I'm not sure whether they are scooters or mopeds, I just know they are really annoying!
  8. Got quite a little race track going on haven't they!
  9. Is it just me or are there a lot of noisy mopeds revving up and down the roads! we live on Wordsworth and these kids are constantly up and down all day and night revving the engines and generally being a pain. They seem to just drive round in circles around Halliwell, Avisford and Wordsworth making as much noise as they can. Before anyone shouts me down I have no problem with mopeds or motorbikes but the constant noise of revving and pulling wheelies up and down the roads is mad! Anyone else noticed it?
  10. Hi. Nothing was wrong with the advice I wasn't able to do anything as the noise stopped almost as soon as I put the post on. I am now in the same situation of not knowing where the noise is coming from. If I knew that then perhaps I could deal with it. Thank you anyway.. ---------- Post added 01-01-2014 at 21:17 ---------- Hi. Pretty sure it's not the same one from the distance, unless its using a loud speaker lol
  11. Hi All, Just bumping this post back up again. After I initially started this thread the cockerel seemed to go quiet/disappear, I don't know which. It has however returned or a different one but seems to be coming from the same direction, any ideas where it's coming from? As I have said previously, I would just like to find a solution to the early morning crowing, I am not looking to have anyone reported or for them to get rid of it, I'd just like to have a chance to sleep early in the morning :-D Thanks
  12. You can indeed keep a dog indoors, but some people don't do they and my point was if a dog was barking in the early hours and keeping people awake surely there would be complaints, or have I got that wrong? To be honest the fact that you lived like that years ago is of no concern or indeed use to me. If I am complaining and you don't like it, then feel free to ignore my posts, after all, you clearly have no sensible advice to offer me do you? So, thank you to everyone who has responded with advice, it's very much appreciated. If I can locate the owner I will see if a suitable solution can be found, and certainly without taping the birds beak shut!
  13. I am in no doubt that the bird is doing what comes naturally, I just don't appreciate hearing it so early in the morning before I have to get up. I also do not see why I should have to get used to it, it's causing a noise disturbance and while I accept that for some people it's not an issue to me and my family - including young children who are being woken early - it is. So as I said previously, any help would be appreciated, if you just want to pass negative comments that are far from helpful then why even bother replying? Just to add, if this was a dog barking early in the morning causing a disturbance there would be plenty of complaints and I'm sure the council have regulations regarding that as a noise disturbance, is that something you would just accept and put up with? I think not!
