Joan Rivers is great, as is Jo Brand! Very funny women.

Both Gervaise and McIntyre do make me laugh, but they are by no means the best. Has anyone seen any of Greg Davies' stand up (Mr Gilbert in the Inbetweeners and part of sketch group 'We Are Klang'). He's one of my favourites i think. For females, i think Sarah Millican and Jo Caulfield have to be up there for me.

I suppose offensive comedy isn't really for everyone, and some can be of incredibly bad taste. I run a night at the Library Theatre called The Jester Society if you're interested in live comedy. As for sitcoms, Black Books is amazing. So is Miranda, i thought it was one of the funniest things i've seen in a long time. Also any writing of Graham Linehan is always a winner.
