  1. It's laughable that people still think that the government are capitalists, capitalism died when the phrase 'To Big To Fail' was coined. What we have is cronyism and corruption, and what's more you keep voting for more.
  2. Me too as well as all this wind it's also the hottest day of the year so far, we have it all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_35sCcn66Hw&list=RD8ZH9ebAZouk&index=8
  3. Ah yes, those salty streets of Leeds; I remember them well and wouldn't move back there for all the salt in Siberia:hihi:
  4. There'll be a few fender benders out on the roads tonight, I just had an hour walking around and the roads look horrendous, the ambulances are out in force already too. Saw cars giving up trying to get up Oxford Street and that's not steep at all: the drivers coming down looked like they were passing bricks.. Even Penistone Road and Netherthorpe Road was slow going. The grit near Tesco I mentioned earlier has done nothing, I'm just grateful that I don't have to drive anywhere for a few days.
  5. That's the best sort:cool: Seriously though Tesco might have don't it themselves, I caught them salting the public path down the the side of the shop once.
  6. I got snow here in s6 but it didn't come with a boom, especially not a boom with 6 o's.
  7. I haven't seen the gritter but noticed new grit on the roads near the Infirmary Road Tesco late last night if that's proof that they still exist.
  8. Last night at about 11pm I noticed the helicopter flying over the Ponderosa so went and had a look and saw lots of police vehicles in the park and coppers milling about so didn't get too close; early this morning I went for another look as there was only one police car with blues flashing, a large area of the park taped off with a burgundy coloured 4 x 4 on the grass behind the church. I'm guessing with all the attention that this vehicle was getting, it was in some way involved in last nights shootings.
  9. Is this where the hit and run happened, if not it would surely be of interest to know who appeared on that camera at about that time wouldn't it? I hope your friend makes a full recovery and that the driver is held accountable for his actions. Off that google map, a quick street view tour down Wellington Street shows quite a few cctv cameras down the full length of the street, there's one on the Washington pub and loads more on those student flats, I don't believe that this driver will get away with it.
  10. Take a look at part J of the building regulations to arm yourself with the facts but talk to your neighbour first about resolving your problem before contacting legal and planning people.
  11. I in live Upperthorpe not far from Crookes and about two weeks ago I had my car arial snapped off, I notice that at least eight other cars parked near mine had also had theirs snapped off too; I'd bet that it was the same numpties who vandalise the cars the op saw. Hope they get their comeuppance x 10.
  12. I'd be happier if the council were proposing to sort that god awful, potholed excuse for a stretch of road further down near Pondsfords, and removing those silly bus lanes altogether. Buses are expensive, uncomfortable, unreliable, slow and seldom go where most people want to be, and are for the most part used as a last resort by most people.
  13. Why not write to:- Mr Richard Flint Chief Executive of Yorkshire Water Email: [email protected] Western House, Halifax Road, Bradford, West Yorkshire, BD6 2SZM ..........and ask him how much his cheque is for.
  14. Reducing our deficit by debasing the currency with an unsustainable .5% interest rate and borrowing more money than Gordon Brown and Tony Blair put together. Who said you can't borrow your way out of debt, I forget? ..... seriously, this lot are worse than the last bunch of clowns.
  15. Is there anything stopping a taxi driver from setting up a limited company?
  16. Truth is being self employed is more tax efficient and a loop hole used by millions of people to avoid paying wage slave paye levels of taxation; there are even companies set up to handle it all for you and all perfectly legally. By setting up a limited company you pay yourself the minimum wage, offset your mileage and expenses against the tax you would normally pay @ min wage and the rest of your money is paid as tax free dividends. All above board but in my opinion it's plain wrong but Gordon Brown tried and failed to shut it down because so many people were using it.
  17. As a tax payer I'm more than a little pigged off that the government is using my hard earned to further inflate and already over heated housing market. Demand should decide the price of a house not some scumball politician.
  18. I hope that is true and explanations to all of the other accusations can be adequately explained as well. ---------- Post added 21-09-2014 at 14:11 ---------- But if they were apparently randomly posted through the slot by individual voters why are they in a nice tidy stack?
  19. These videos are going viral I didn't look for them they were 'the most popular on you tube', I don't think the youtubers revenue is the issue really there are many people hosting the same footage and now I'm looking there's no shortage of dodgy looking stuff regarding this vote. It all looks dodgy to me but I'd be interested to hear the explanations. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzGFSbX7E8I https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgNcQCDRV9c
  20. Turn the sound off and it still plainly shows yes votes on the no pile on the sky news report and you can clearly see that woman moving the votes from one pile to the other on the mobile phone footage. It doesn't even need a commentary it's pretty obvious what they are doing, I'd love to hear their explanation as to what exactly was going on.
  21. The day after the vote, I thought the no vote had won fair and square and being a fan of fair play and democracy I was happy with the result, so imagine how sickened I was to see clear video evidence of cheating going on published on youtube. Look at these cacky fingered little scumbags caught red handed:- This makes me question how widespread the cheating went and who was behind it: if we can't run a free and fair election ........
  22. Given the assumed constraints with the plot it looks like a good design and a good use of the site to me (though its not the kind of home I'd like to live in).
  23. Was that the taxi? My memory of the scene of the aftermath when I went past was a small car with arbath(?) written down the lower doors and a taxi, thought the taxi was a Citroen but couldn't see any damage to either car.
  24. More towards the Sheffield end directly below a footbridge (if that means anything to you), sorry I can't be more specific I don't really know that area.
