  1. Has it been announced when the funeral will take place?
  2. Yes a portable gas heater. A faulty canister from what I was told
  3. We live in that area and hear it constantly. It's a nightmare. You can't escape it, especially in the summer when the doors and windows are open. It's a nuisance
  4. The family's chow chow has gone missing. He's very fluffy and red. Please keep your eyes open!!
  5. Hi. I have a 5 year old. He is allowed 30 mins of TV a day. He's allowed to swap this for either 30 mins on the Tablet (cbeebies or on the phonetics pages recommend by school) or he can swap it for 30 mins playing Lego Batman on the PlayStation. It's not a hard and fast rule but it's generally what we go by. For the rest of the time he plays, builds, reads etc. This week due to bad behaviour he lost his 30 minutes on one day. We were chatting about this at work today and someone said to me " so what is he meant to do for the rest of the day? " she generally thought I was far too harsh. I always thought that I was just being fair. He's a much nicer better behaved boy when his TV time is controlled. He's got a great imagination. His reading is coming on leaps and bounds. She was genuinely shocked we expect him to play without the TV on playing mindlessly in the background. Don't get me wrong we love to snuggle and watch a film on a rainy afternoon but we just don't let the TV be the babysitter. I just felt a bit of a tyrant after talking to her. What's the rules in your house?
  6. I have been buying bits all year for mine. Didn't think of doing one for the Elderly so I will work on that next
  7. What happens if the caravan is stollen while being rented out? Would you need a gas safety certificate? How do you police the person having a suitable vehicle to tow with? If it's an Alko hitch will you check the towbar is suitable? We had a friend who lost his van as he didn't realise that the tow ball was different. Wrote his van off and a passing car too.
  8. The people who own the building are selling it. Due to personal commitments the Management have decided to let them sell it without ties. Alison is still keeping the Roebuck.
  9. It can be a bit of a grey area. Is her name on the.bill?
  10. No they will just give you the amount of bags you ask them for then add them to your transaction for you from what I understand
  11. In the store I work we have been told that the self scan colleagues will have the bags and dispense them to the customer as required and ensure they are added to the transaction. That's going to be very time consuming.
  12. No. If you put it in a loose veg bag you will be charged for it ---------- Post added 26-09-2015 at 11:28 ---------- If it's a genuinely loose product with no paper or plastic wrapping you will not be charged. If it's pre packed and you "double bag" it you will be charged
  13. It's a government incentive. Stores will be governed over and if found to be giving "free" carriers they will be fined up to £10,000. The charge for the bag goes to charity. The supermarkets are not paying for the bags anymore they will get a subsidy for it. It isn't Marks and Sparks fault they will have to charge you for a bag. It's the law
  14. You will get a letter well in advanced of the application system opening. How early you apply has no effect. The letter will have your log in details for the online site. I believe that it may be the end of the month when the letters go out.
  15. According to Parkers your car will only tow 750kg. You may get a microlight van at that weight but I am not 100% certain of their weight. You could be better with a folding camper or trailer tent but again weights can vary!
  16. I was brought up really close to some of my cousins, we have strange family in that there were 17 years between my dad and his eldest sister, when he was starting school she was getting married and starting a family, her eldest son is only 6 months younger than my mum. They have kids older than me. I spent alot of time with my closest in age cousins from my dads side but even they were a good 15/16 years older than me. As I remember when I was about 3 I spent a full summer with my 18 year old cousin because he was trying to get with a girl who had a son the same age as me.. I am close in age to my mums nieces. We were brought up very very close. I have not had anything to do with either side of the family since a few months after my dad died. I have my reasons and some days it makes me a little sad to think that my son won't have the closeness I had. However I am not a hypocrite. And maybe its stubborn but I will not go back on my views of them.
  17. No.where else I can think of. And unless it's a specific residential site then you won't be able to live there without being registered at another address for council tax purposes etc
  18. Thanks so much everyone again!! Mrs Macbeth you are a mind reader. She rang them in the last few days to ask about Pension Credit. They have given her all the information she needs about when to claim!
  19. Really sorry I was getting mixed up with the Chesterfield stadium one!
  20. It's been going quite a while now. I think it's a good one
  21. Thanks everyone. She has been awarded ESA. However she had her operation which went well and they were able to do what they needed to do without opening her up to Below her knee. On the day of her discharge it was a Duty doctor rather than on of the regular ones. The nurse asked for her sick note completing. Both consultants had told her she will be incapacitated for a minimum of 13 weeks and would happily provide her a sick note to confirm this. (she isn't allowed to lift or bend for 8 weeks) however the duty doctor at first refused her a note. When the nurse explained what the consultant had said and the doctor eventually agreed to give her a note for 2 weeks and said she couldn't see why she wouldn't be able to go back after that on light duties. Thanks!!! Now I have to arrange time off work to get her into her Gp to get an extension of her note.. Something we were told that she would not have to do.
  22. My Grandfather was a Chindit in Burma. He told me very little of his time there. The bits he told me, as I have got older and under stand what he really meant were heartbreaking .
  23. Yes that are logged by an external company. I think all bases are being covered until the details are obtained
