  1. This is rather strange, as he was there at the exact same time last Tuesday evening also. He was naked from the waist down and waving his bits excitedly at a passing tram. I believe he was taking a pee on the tram as it went passed. Time was approx 7.40pm. It was somewhere outside the Bingo Hall. To be sure I wasn't seeing things I checked footage and I have it on my dash cam. And no, I'm not going to post it here.
  2. Decathlon also offers printing and does sell the Barcelona shirt.
  3. According to the builders doing the work, that is to be a Costa.
  4. Thanks Buggz. Will look into it further.
  5. Ghozer, do you have any opinions on their rivals? Bt claim to be truly unlimited with no traffic management, whereas Plusnet (cheaper) have no download limit but do use traffic management. I know BT owns Plusnet and they would be using the same equipment, but would most users notice any effect from the traffic management? Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts.
  6. If you select option 5 when you call, which I think is 'Press 5 if you are moving house or think of leaving us' you get through to someone who would normally try to make you stay by offering a deal. This person also seems to normally give quite reliable advise regards system improvements. On my most recent call the guy told me that he wasn't going to try and talk me out of it as they were so over subscribed in our area, and because he had little confidence the service would actually improve before Christmas. He said if you take a new package elsewhere for 12 months then we might have just got our network improved by the time that ends if you want to come back. I have also heard that they are able to keep the download speeds good for new customers until they reach the end of their 30 day cooling off period, and then they 'throttle' the speed down to 1-2MB at peak times once they can no longer leave. How much this all comes down to Branson no longer owning it having sold it to the Americans I don't know.
  7. I have a thread on here asking for opinions on Vodafone Fibre because we have the same issue with Virgin and are planning on swapping. It's been happening in exactly the same way you describe since last October for us. We get a part refund every month and they usually give a fix date several months ahead, which never actually happens. Current fix date they've given me is a date in September (hysterically the guy on the phone even gave me a time of 9.30am on that day). We've waited on four or five other promise dates which have all past without improvement, so we're off. Good when it works but can't currently handle the demand.
  8. Thanks for your reply. I am reluctant to change..... when it works, Virgin is great. Just not sure I can hold out till August (and possible later).
  9. We currently have virgin broadband but we have had our speed 'throttled' in the evening since last October. Repeated calls to customer service inform us that this is due to demand in our area being greater than the network capability. They normally inform us that the proposed update to the network will take place in around 6-8 weeks, and we get a refund, but we've now been told no upgrade will happen before August. During the day we get a 50Mb download speed, but we're down to 1-2Mb in the evening making it as good as useless for what we need. I'm getting offered a great deal with Vodafone Fibre as my mobile is with them, but can't seem to find many customer reviews of their fibre broadband service. Has anybody tried it? Option 2 is Plusnet, although I'm a little concerned by their traffic management. We currently use approx 250Gb per month. Option 3 is BT as they claim to be truly truly unlimited with no traffic management.
  10. You should look at nest.co.uk They have a Sheffield showroom off the parkway at S9 4WQ. Or if you fancy a drive BoConcept have a store in Batley. Lighting ideas at Illume (David Village Lighting) on West street on the opposite side of the road to Nandos. They have a small selection of furniture also. The new John Lewis range has some interesting modern designs. Have fun.
  11. I have used these people many times: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Trent-Plastics Phone them for custom sizes and quotes. I ordered 6 custom pieces and received within 48 hours. Never had a problem.
  12. Really..... I was looking on here to see what might have happened last night in that area, but the problem was further along the road on the other side, around the Leppings Lane tram stop. I couldn't see exactly, but the road was blocked by a police van and traffic was being turned around. This was at about 8pm - presumably not linked to Taj. Had just been into Taj after the refurb and the owner was very pleased to be up and running again.
  13. Are you really criticising someone's post for having not enough detail for a blind person to read? And also implying that THEY are being pedantic? And you're doing all of this while supposedly being a Moderator of this site - should that not mean that you at least attempt to rise above the petty bickering and argumentative 'banter' that plagues this site and it makes it (for the majority) such an unpleasant place to frequent. Shame on you. Pathetic behaviour.
  14. Could you be thinking of Kev Roberts who drove a (possibly Blue) Ford Fiesta? A friend who works at a nursery in Hillsborough used to use him and told me that he'd changed jobs. I remember this because she asked me who I used. This was perhaps 12 months ago and whether this is accurate, or possibly even just temporary, I couldn't say. My phone reception wont allow me to search on google at the moment.
