  1. Hi... Apologies if this has been covered somewhere in the squillions of older posts, (I did run a fruitless search)........ Can anyone recommend a Groomer who specialises in cutting Bedlington Terriers? Ive tried a Google search, but all Im getting are breeders' D.I.Y instructions (think I'll give that a huge miss ) Thanks in advance for any info
  2. Hi! Just wondered if theres anything happening for the kids, (ghost walks, etc) this Halloween, around High Green, Chap, Greno, etc? I know theres Fright Night, but the kids are a bit sick of it, and dont want to go this year. Thanks for any advice!!!
  3. It might just mean that they will be in touch with an actual job offer and start details. If you have been successful at both the one to one and group assessment, then, in my opinion, you've been successful full stop. You got it! Just wait for the next step. Congratulations and good luck.
  4. People who think there's only them walking down the street! (You know the ones...they walk as slow as anything....then, stop suddenly, either to rifle through their bags....look in a shop window, etc, etc, etc) Grrrrrrrr!
  5. We pay £25 for the full works at the Groom Room at Crystal Peaks. Always happy with the service and the girls are lovely. You get a stamp card and on your 5th visit, it's free!
  6. The little confession wont hurt his album sales, will it? Did Will Young no harm
  7. Agreed!!! The Halifax adverts used to be fantastic. Now these ones are absolutely awful. Especially the one with the two blokes/car keys/"Yeah yeah yeah!!!" But none...NONE are as bad a s the Go Compare ones!!!!!! Aaaaaarrrrrgggggghhhh!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Thanks very much for the advice. I appreciate it very much. It's made me feel loads better about the whole thing. Also, the positions where I worked only short term, didn't end through choice. They were were just temporary positions, contracted to a few months. Thanks again!!!
  9. We live about a 25 minute walk away from my kids school, which takes us over 2 busy dual carriageways, so for this reason, I doubt I would feel confident in letting my 3 walk the whole way. My eldest has just turned 10 and I allow him to walk back from school part of the way alone, as he waits for me at his nans house, which is a bit nearer with no busy road to cross. After a time, I will let him do the whole walk alone, to build up to the time he's due to start high school, but not in a million years would I allow my 5 year old or my 7 year old. The youngest would probably decide half way, that he would like to take the tram to town instead, then spend the day splashing in the peace gardens!
  10. I personally think 5 and 8 are too young to be travelling unaccompanied.
  11. Aaaarrrggghh!!!! hehehehe Ive tried! Ive been able to come up with dates for 2 positions, having remembered I worked at one place during Euro '96 and another when Princess Diana died. Its all the ones in between that are in a huge jumble!!!! Will it really matter if they aren't 100% accurate? Will the prospective employer most definitely check in depth, employment from 15-20 years ago, considering those positions held were of no relevance to the job Im applying for today?
  12. Thanks for the advice. I haven't got any old p45's Im afraid. All my previous jobs were before I had my family, when I still lived at home with mum and dad. I did used to keep onto stuff like that, but I remember telling my mum she could get rid of all my old personal stuff a few years ago, when she did my old room out. Damn! I just never thought at the time that Id need them. I used to be so good with my memory, and always had upto date info stored for job applications. Trouble is, like I said, a few of my old jobs were only temporary, which lasted a few months at a time, so I cant even put the years
  13. Hi...... Im (attempting) to put together my first cv. I haven't worked in a zillion years, due to bringing up my children and, to be honest, Im finding the whole process of remembering dates and months of my past employment a huge headache! I just simply cannot remember!!! The trouble is, a few of the jobs I did were temporary positions and some, I went back to the following year, but for the life of me, I just cant put months to some of them, and I also think I have some of them in the wrong order!! What happens if, whoever checks these things, finds out that I got some...(MOST!!) of the info wrong? I have read that in some cases, they need only the past 10 years worth of employment details, but the job Im applying for needs the whole shebang! Right from leaving school!!! With no gaps!!!:gag: Thanks in advance for any advice!!
