  1. 7 years on the pain doesn't get any easier, trust me. But they say time is a great healer and it certainly is. However you have to take time to grieve, for yourself, the baby you lost and the piece of you a miscarriage takes away from you. Take time to take care of yourself - the councelling will help, and the fact that you recognise when you are dropping into one of your "dark times" means that it will be easier to pull yourself out of it. The "loving" time will get easier, but don't put any pressure on yourself. Another pregnancy won't heal the pain you feel, but the eventual arrival of a baby will maybe make you realise that nature does what it has to do. And this baby won't be a replacement for the baby you lost, but it might help you understand and hopefully find some peace within yourself. Hope this helps.
  2. I worked in the construction industry for 9 years. My branch of a large company closed. This was down to staff becoming lazy and unhelpful towards customers. It was nothing to do with what you mentioned in your post. The workers had become to comfortable in their roles - believeing that they were owed a living. Who can blame companies that do employ certain people cheaper and better able to do the job in hand. If some people realised that there is competition for the roles out there - they might start realising that they have to work harder and stop tossing it off. Maybe that is one of the reasons why our country is in the state it is in.....? Just saying.
  3. Went to TGI's last night and in the dark it looks amazing - I think we will be taking a trip there when it opens.... any ideas if there are any leaflets / tokens / free ride offers floating about anywhere?
  4. High Green Primary Closed Thursday 2nd December, open again Friday as per their website. http://www.highgreenprimary.co.uk/
  5. Didn't realise chap Asda were charging for parking now - whats the criteria for parking before you get an invoice to ignore?
  6. Wondered why my locked gate was hanging open this morning! Had a look at the shed, nothing touched but the 2nd gate was still locked so perhaps they gave up. Here we go again......
  7. Why don't you go along and find out one morning. I've been, enjoyed it, wasn't for me. The people there are nice, I know a few from a way back. My little 'un went to nursery there for 4 years. The only involvement that Nursery have with church is the Christmas Service. They have some very worthwhile projects going on, City Heats, Storehouse Project & I believe they have a few safe houses for families in crisis. Whilst the church side of things isn't the way I would choose to express any faith I have, the good that they do as a "business / charity" is amazing. PS: The facilities and projects are open to all faiths and people that don't have a religion. They don't distinct between these and I think that is an important point to remember.
  8. Oh my goodness thats awful! I hope he is on the mend now. Elsecar is a nice place to try if he's not too traumatised x
  9. I went to a party at Hydra Kids the other day - Word of warning to anyone planning on having a birthday party there - if you want to pay £9.50 a head for a couple of trays of soggy jam butties, a pot of hummus, a couple of chopped up carrots and - wait for it - a plastic tray with a packet of penguin biscuists and sone plain sponge buns with no icing on, then you're well in. I was pretty much disgusted, no customer service to speak of and baaaaaaaaad over priced food. Thumbs down I'm afraid.
  10. bad bad baaaaaaad , The food is terrible there, however the pudding cabinet is amazing! All the cakes are basicly the same chocolate cake, covered in synthetic cream and whatever biscuits / cakes are on offer in morrisons. Looks nicw, tastes god awful.
  11. Depends where you want to go but the Skeggy Water Leisure Park have always been quite accomodating - I think they just require an extra deposit - just in case you dig up the turf or something! haha x
  12. I'm liking the indian summer theme... think I could incorporate the food into that well. Also the beach theme but no doubt him indoors will have a few and decide it's a nudist beach!
  13. http://www.thisiswhyyourefat.com/ Where dreams become heart attacks, this should give you some food for thought x
  14. Hi Guys, Me and a few friends are doing a come dine with me themed competition. I have no problems with the type of food to cook but we are also judging on entertainment / theme ideas. This is where I come unstuck. I'm willing to alter my menu to a theme - my night will be early August so not sure if there are any celebrations that I could do food to coincide with..... Any suggestions? x
