  1. I went there yesterday and it's the AA that puts the screws in. (As opposed to putting the screws on I suppose:) The police blokey just game me some leaflets and one of those pens to mark your property with. He also mentioned a database that they've set up that you can put serial numbers on of things like bikes etc so if they stop someone dodgy looking with any items on them they can radio in with the serial number to see if it's on the database. I was pleased with it as my number plates are those stick on ones so the AA drilled 2 holes in and put the screws in.
  2. My favourites are two from the Rotherham Advertiser years ago. One about a fight that had broken out in a fish and chip shop. "Man battered in fish shop" And a children's entertainer that was worried about getting a fine for a driving offence. "Fears of a clown"
  3. Don't worry same thing happened to me. I think the receptionist thought she would be able to tell what the results were, looked, realised she hadn't a clue so told me to make an appointment to see the doctor. Everything was fine.
  4. Thanks for your replies. Will have a google.
  5. Hi, My Mum has a 8 month old yorkie that is a bit of a handfull so I was looking for dog training classes that she could take him to to learn how to control him. Many thanks Julie
  6. Yes like you say we were kicked out of the main room where the door is. At the time (5.30pm) there was nobody else in the room but we moved next door as fair enough it's up to them if children were allowed in the main room. After eating OH went to the bar and saw other children in the bar so queried why they were there but we weren't allowed. No answer given. Little while later the landlord (I presumed as he wasn't dressed like the other staff) came over to us to say that he'd only come on and hadn't noticed other children in main area. When we said that we were told we couldn't stay in there he just went on about not having time to deal with the other, wouldn't give us an answer about what age the children should be to stay in the main area. When pressed said about 9 but had no idea what ages the children were in the main room but could see that ours were younger (7 and 5). When I asked him what were the ages of the other children didn't know, wouldn't ask and only said would check "when he had the time". OH thinks he knows them so let them stay.
  7. Hi, Sorry just edited my post to say the seating area where the bar is. We had to move to a room next door but later on some people came with children and weren't asked to move.
  8. Has anyone been recently with children? If so, do you mind me asking if you were told that they couldn't go in the bar area and what ages the children were? Have just been there and turfed out of the seating area in the room where the bar is because we had the children with us but other children allowed to stay. Thanks very much.
  9. That'll do me. I'll go and get it out of the shed and put it in my boot in case I get stuck. Thanks
  10. Does sand from children's sandpits work? Hope so as I've got loads bagged up in the shed from when I emptied the boy's sand pit in the autumn. Cheers
  11. Hi, Thanks again for your suggestions. I've tried the photo machines in Boots but the photo are a lot darker than they are on my camera and monitor. Is there any way that I could see exactly what the photo will look printed before I upload it to be printed?
  12. Yes although ours is starting to look at bit menacing now it's getting covered in more snow. I expect it'll be here for a while as my 5 year old wouldn't let me put a scarf on it as, according to him, it would get too hot and melt.
  13. Parking, Whats the law? I think it's legal - not sure about flapjacks though:hihi:
  14. Thanks for all your replies. Will definately give them a go as I've been very disappointed with the ones I've printed out myself. Cheers Julie
