  1. Hi, Is there any disabled charities that could possibly help my disabled son move house.Ie removals,decorating(1 bed council flat) Removal of unwanted items etc.He is severely disabled with arthritis. Please can anyone point him in the right direction for help.Unfortunately i am unable to help him myself. Thanks
  2. Please Help.Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place but I have an intermittent fault on my Worcester Bosh 24i RSF boiler. It has had 3 repairs in the last year or so including a new printed circuit board, new fan,new electrodes and leads. And has the last engineer baffled. The heating and hot water comes on but goes back off again after about 10/20 minutes.Does anyone give free quotes or have the knowledge to diagnose the fault. We are selling the property so don't want to replace the boiler. The filling loop has been topped up several times and radiators bled. can you help?
  3. It's such a shame to see empty shops around Hillsborough or Sheffield in general.I personally would like to see even though it would require major investment a quality indoor market selling maybe specialist Delli style shops, specialist bakery breads etc.Maybe on like a continental market theme.I know being born n bred in hillsborough it would have to be affordable as in this economic climate prices are an issue. But if some investor could have a vision to aspire to help our neighbourhood it could be an asset to the area creating an environment people would wish to visit.I have seen over the last few years quite a few professional people choosing hillsborough to live because it's easy to commute to the city centre.Maybe it's a pipe dream but I think it would help to bring vibrancy back to our beloved Hillsborough.Anybody got a few million pounds spare?
  4. Hi.Could anyone give me any advice on what type of sewing machine (2nd hand) I would need to make some flat boxed cushions possibly out of vinyl or upholstery fabric.Simpler the better as I am a complete novice.I don't want any fancy stitches or an expensive machine just something basic. Some questions possibly arise.Would it have to be industrial ? Would some of the old Singer machines be better ? Also could somebody point me in the right direction for any advice to teach me how to use the sewing machine for this purpose only as I wouldn't need it for anything else. Thankyou.
  5. Is there any Spanish football fans out there in Sheffield? If so where is the best bars to watch the Euro 2012 final on Sunday night against Italy.Even though we are born and bred in Sheffield we love everything SPANISH and short of flying over again to Spain we want to watch the game amongst Spanish supporters if possible to add to the atmosphere.Any recommendations ? VAMOS ESPANA

  9. The Peak district is fantastic however there is so much to see and do you may need several visits depending on your interests. Here are a few suggestions that may help. Castleton...... Cave's and underground cavern's,Quaint shop's with world famous "Blue John Stone" jewelry .Gifts shops,Tea rooms.Winnatts pass,Mam Torr. There is a visitor centre next to a car park that will give all the info you need.(This is approx 16 miles from Sheffield) Bakewell...... World famous Bakewell puddings that originate there,Lovely shops,Walks,Cafe's, pubs,Riverside walks,Parks etc Matlock and Matlock Bath ......Much of the above, Cable car's ,a promenade type walk with amusement arcade's,Fish and Chip shops etc this is popular with visitors and motorcyclists that line there bikes along the road for everyone to admire. It also has lovely riverside walks and a mini kids theme park on the hillside(gullivers kingdom) Buxton...... Famous Spa town,Buxton Spring Water works,Pavillion gardens, parks,Indoor swimming pool.Loads of shops cafe's and pubs. I could go on and on but if you contact any of the visitor centre's or tourist info they will tell you all you need and have loads of books, leaflets available. There is loads to do from walking, climbing, cycling, camping and much more. I,m sure you'll love it....... P.s by the way i,m not on commission.l.o.l. Hope you have a good time
  10. Have you tried volkszone website on the net ? It will be a mine of info for contacts etc. You may have to travel a bit though. Good luck. A fellow vw fan (bay window t20)
  11. I might be a little biased as a cyclist but get a bike and go cycling. If you are not very experienced try gentle cycling on a trail. There is loads of books available on cycle paths and trails. You could try any of the tourist info or book shops. If you have experience cycling " ride to work" it saves money and gets you fit. There are loads of groups that meet up for cycle runs out derbyshire ,cafe stops etc. so you,ll soon get to know people quickly. Be careful though as in all major citys Sheffield traffic is busy. Good luck i hope it all works out.
