  1. I had a fantastic job done last year at ARC, Solly Street, courtesy car provided too. Very reasonable price. Went there this morning as the wind had caught my door and it wouldn't close properly, they looked at it and fixed it straight away, NO CHARGE! this place is run by the nicest couple of guys you could hope to meet, Highly recommended
  2. Quarter past ten and mine's still off at high storrs, but the street lights have come back on outside! I notice that the house opposite's back on too, guess they're on a different phase.
  3. Hi Harley, thanks for the correction, I think it may have been an old leaflet that they showed me in the Shop with the prices. Went to P F for a swim this morning, and paid £1.70. It's certainly a good offer, especially as the free swimming for over 60's and under 16's has been scrapped (not that Sheffield participated in the scheme) and it's certainly easier for me than a hike over to Dronfield. Not sure what they charge there, but Derbyshire seems to be cheaper than Sheffield, swam at Matlock last week, and that's only £2.10 for a senior, without any membership card. Thanks again for the correction.....Pete
  4. If you're over 60, and want to swim at Ponds Forge, it will cost you about £4.10, however if you go to "Age Concern" at Castle Square, you can join their Swimming and Fitness Club for only £1.10 a year. You'll then be able to Swim at Ponds Forge for £1.60, bit of a no brainer really!
  5. Try Jumble sales, I've bought at least 4 good quality 35mm slr cameras at jumble sales, the most expensive being £1 Ebay is a good source of old slr's as well....Pete
  6. Hi Julie, I post all the latest news on the pool website. The forum won't let me put the web address as I've not yet made 5 posts. But if you put Hathersage swimming pool into google, it's usually the first result at the top of the search page. The repairs are essential, and after the severe frosts this winter, the condition of the pool basin will be even worse. We hope to open Early June this year, and are hoping for mild weather in the spring which will be needed to effect the repairs.....regards...Pete
