  1. Thanks for the fast replies, Its all wired up correctly as far as I am aware but you never know, I get an engineer out to see if it could be the fan. If I can save having to get a new one that would be great.
  2. I was just cooking a pizza in my electric oven which is only a few years old. My partner was walking past it when it suddenly made a booming noise very similar to dragging a large table across a hard floor. It imeditaley blew all the electric to the oven and destroyed the cookers trip switch. Other than the loud noise and being to scared to wire the thing back up, there were all little black speckles all over the dinner in the oven, which is kept very clean. Does anyone have any ideas what in the oven could make such a loud noise and if so if it might be repairable or if I should just fork out for a new one? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced.
  3. Hello, I moved into velocity in 2009 and moved out in August 2011, I really enjoyed my stay at velocity . The site is mainly managed by a chap called James Dixon if you ever go to view a flat this is probs the guy that will show you round. We were paying £500 a month for a unfurnished 1 Bedroom flat, not sure what the problem with the lack of big windows is? Our flat has huge patio doors onto a balcony and our bedroom had a single window that opened . The flat was great and although unfurnished was finished very well, I would say very large for a one bed flat, but do not go anywhere near a studio flat!. Be carful with a two bed flat as velocitys contracts only allow a maximum of two occupants no matter which size flat you choose. The electric is metered by Eon we were very high users and as the water is heated from electric you should expect a high electric bill we were paying around £75 a month. The water is metered by Yorkshire water and being on a meter means one hell of a good deal, I would brim the bath and I was still only paying £15 a month. Another aspect you will have to look into is parking there is no free parking onsite the nearest is about five minuets away, I paid the onsite car park about £60 a month. It's a great place and staff are all very friendly and helpful, and high street is five mins wall and 15 mins to train station Hope that helps at all
  4. Just looking to clear up the garage ready for Xmas and was wondering if any Car Boots are still running near Sheffield, Rotherham or Cheaterfeild tomorrow(Sunday). I have heard that Kieron park might have one?
  5. I am from Poole, lived there for over 11 years . Now live in Sheffield, MUCH CHEAPER HERE
  6. Recently me and my partner left university and we had a choice to return home or to set out on our own. Studying full-time we had very little time to work so we both worked just evenings and weekends, whilest we studied to cover our bills. In July we both finished our studies within weeks of each other and needed to get work quick. We had both been so worried about finding work as their is such a hype in the media about Unemployment figures on the rise. I started my job search by writing up a very bare cv as with very little work history there wasn't much to write, I then thought that this next part was going to take a while. I searched online job sites and found a list of about ten jobs which I could undertake, both skilled and unskilled and just emailed them my CV. The very same day I had to calls back to arrange interviews for the next day and on in three days, I also received another two calls asking me to attend interviews later in the week. So from my first ever attempt at trying to get a full time job I had a interview success rate of 4/10. I dressed smart and went to my first interview the very next day just 26hours after I emailed my CV out, I was offered a job for a 48hour shift pattern there and then, I waited and had to two days to give them an answer so I attended another interview a day later and was offered a 3month trial at 35hours. After some consideration I cancelled my future interviews an accepted my first offer and progressed to start that Monday. Now 3 months later I am just leaving my initial part time job and just continuing with my new job, on it's own instead of working 7 days a week. My partner also undertook her job search and is also now employed 35hours a week. We are nothing special so it came to such a surprise to me that we could both attain employment so easily and was wandering what others views are on the topic, are some people unable to attain work genuinely, out of laziness or just don't want work?. The media seems to play on it so much but it really seems not such a big deal?
  7. Yeah it's out for us Dev's won't be long. Seen some great new apps for use with apple tv and iPad, makes them into a gaming system very similar to the WiiU, where as you have the main game on the screen and you can use the iPad as a touch/tilt controller but with an additional visual display

  10. I just moved house and today my new Sky line and broadband was supposed to be activated. Got my new number a few days ago, and called it back then to recieve a message saying the number I had entered had not been reconised. So today when I got home to a dead phone line I called my new number and some random lady anserwed my number lol. Turns out BT have given my new line to someone elses house causing that person to loose their phone number and only recieve my calls, BT!!!! Now I have to wait another week to see a BT Engineer!
  11. .... Drifted.. You make it sound as if it was never connected to the UK. It is part of the purbek chalk band that runs along that region of the south coast and was until the last ice-age very much a solid part of the South coast, untill the chalk band was eroaded away and eventually produced an island, at the same time making the iconic Old harry rocks outcrop that stretch towards the Isle Of Wight Chalk Cliffs from the West . At some time it was though connected to france but as was the Whole South West Coast of the UK .
  12. I used to live in Bournemouth for 11 years, on a clear morning I could see the Isle of Wight from the cliff tops Lovely place, but can not beat Sheffield
  13. Yes but they give you a shiny new 250gb Slim for free if it does not work after the update.
  14. You can use a valid passport with your maiden name untill it expires
  15. Yes your site does seem rather messy and although it does inculde lots of lovely pictures there is little in description of your service and the layout is not user friendly. What are you using to create the site, dreamweaver?
