  1. My o/h wants to know is it possible to upgrade the hd in his laptop and for all program's and files currently installed transferred to the new drive on such as a 1tb or higher if possible? If so, can someone please quote to supply fit and transfer everything, he says would need to be done in a day. The machine I think is a acer running vista has about 2 gb ram
  2. Because there is no facility to pay by cash at Chapeltown to start your journey. Remember they are there to catch the ones who have had the ability to pay by cash either at Sheffield or Meadowhall, Chapeltown is the next stop. Unfortunately Maybe does not come into it.
  3. There was no option, they had to be approached you could not leave the platform they checked everyone's ticket, mine included, ALL the rail staff asked to see everyone's ticket.
  4. I'm sure this happens quite a lot, and a reason why some will take the chance to get a free journey, My o/h has also seen rail staff at Doncaster Station checking tickets, targeting particular trains.
  5. If that's the case with the OP then they are gonna refuse payment, 12 members of staff there all need paying their wages, they are there to catch those who don't pay, their argument or thoughts would be yes you want to pay now but if we were not here you would simply carry on with your journey. I doubt very much that anyone would call Northern Rail saying hi just got off the train I haven't paid can you take payment over the phone. Going the other way I.e from Chapeltown is different as the only way to pay before boarding is either online or the ticket machine, not everyone carries a debit or credit card. On that particular journey the train was very full but the fact remains the OP could have purchased a ticket in cash at the station he/she got on at. Inspectors on the platform at Chapeltown are there on a regular basis
  6. As I posted above, it depends who refused the offer of payment.
  7. Some clarification is needed here, which refused to accept payment? The one on the train itself, or the dozen train staff that were stood on the platform in hi-vis jackets? Id offer to pay too lol
  8. Here's a link to a few photos from yesterdays walk, the scenery was absolutely breath taking Photos
  9. My mum will be joining you on this one, she's looking forward to it.
  10. Every Sunday from 8 at The Stocks, Ecclesfield
  11. Yes, what a great walk today in our local Sheffield parks and woodlands and we are really proud to be part of Sheffield Enviromental Walks and a big welcome to the new walkers it inspired to join us today.
