  1. Lol, pity I think it mave have been sorted now, this thread's almost 2 yrs old!!
  2. I've been a Man Utd for over 30 years, but as much as I would love them to win tonight, I cant see it happening. Real to win at least 2-1. (but we all have our dreams)
  3. I agree, I've just took my daughter to school (we ALWAYS walk, no matter whatever the weather!) and Prince of Wales road is ridiculous!! Cars slipping and sliding up hill and down, it doesn't look like it's been gritted over night, and its not like we didn't know it was coming!! Just been onto City Rd, need to take Bladesgirl to the Hallamshire at lunchtime, and was wondering whether she might be better getting the bus or possibly the tram and walking the rest of the way, even City Rd (nr the Kwik Fit/KFC doesn't look like its been gritted either  :loopy: But I have just seen a purple route tram go down towards town, but haven't seen any buses, so I would presume trams are at least running to Manor Top, just in case anybody needed to know! (they maybe running further I don't know!! lol)
  4. thanks everyone for your well wishes ( ?? lol ) I hope everything goes as well for all other expectant moms and dads (why is it us dads always seem to get left out? ) Jack is doing fine, a very healthy pair of lungs on him, and Bladesgirl  is also ok We have sorta split the feeds/changes etc into a kinda working routine between us both where we both can get a good 6-8 hrs sleep a day, as well as trying to cope with a 5yr old girl too!!
  5. I would like to pass on my thanks and gratitude to the 2 midwives, Carol and Tracy, Zoe and another Tracy, (the 2 before that swapped over during shift change) who looked after my partner and helped deliver my SON! I am a DADDY!!! (again) My partner (Bladesgirl, on SF) gave birth in the early hours of Saturday Morning. A beautiful baby boy who weighed in at 7lb 4oz. No complications, and both are now home and doing well. We have named him Jack Alfred, as he shares (what would have been, his great grandads birthday) who recently passed away So many thanks to everyone at the Jessops Hospital (Labour and Norfolk Ward)
  6. Get Rid!! Its the best thing I ever did, it ran so incredibly slowly and was forever locking up and freezing. I switched to google chrome which was much better but I couldnt get along with it as a browser, so I tried Mozilla after a couple of fellow forummers suggested it. I've never looked back. Dont be scared to try something different!!
  7. why not just simply remove the hard drive and hang onto it? If there is stuff on it, you could set it up as a slave drive in another pc if you want
  8. Yep, that will work i've tried it in my machine, the windows also came up a treat too!! :hihi:
  9. 1. Thats how many we've had knocking on our door, poor mite was soaked!! Spent about £10 on different sweetes and little toys, and just had the 1 kid. It aint what it used to be
  10. I'm also with Sky, I live close to City Rd/Manor Top, and our speeds are 9.8 download and 0.9 upload. I have no idea if this is good or crap, but we've never had any problems, always been spot on!
  11. Simples. As long as the COMBINED WEIGHT of BOTH CAR AND TRAILER/CARAVAN DOES NOT EXCEED 3.5 Tonne you're ok to tow on a licence issued after 1997. I know cos we've bought a caravan and needed to know as I only passed my my test in 2006, so theres no need to take an extra test (though there's nothing to stop you if you wanted to!) Its just if you want to drive something like a LWB Transit and a twin axled caravan this "new rule" comes into effect. Hope this clears up any confusion TOWING LIMITS ....
  12. Errrrr? Why doesn't it? It looks rather simple to me?
  13. I was born in 1970, lived on Broomhall Flats till they demolished them, went to both Springfield Infants and Juniors, as did my older sister and my younger brother, probably mid to late 70's, I think, my minds not too clever these days!! :hihi:
  14. fine, it doesn't really matter to me all that much as the van is 30 yrs old and has no paperwork or certificates with it anyway, just asking if that was correct and could it be done like that. but thanks all the same
  15. Need some advice on fitting/wiring up a 2nd light in my caravan. Please have a look at THIS DIAGRAM..... and tell me if this is how it could be connected.
  16. Hiya, we've bought a caravan, but it doesn't have 12V Electrics, (tho it does have the 240V for electric hook-up) Does anyone know of anyone or anywhere I could get a quote to have 12V electrics fitted so it would run on a Leisure Battery, or should I not bother and just leave it as is on 240? Many thanks.
  17. All sorted, now being sited at Skegness Water Leisure Park,at the start of next season its £1200 with electrical hook-up for the season, we can choose where we wanna be pitched, and its only an extra £100 for winter storage, save me towing the 'van back at the end of the season!! All we need now is a 'van!!
  18. My cars due for MOT on thursday, will be looking for someone to do some work on it, not sure what yet, but what I do know is the N/S rear passenger door doesn't open, from the outside, I think some sort of latch has come off, but you cant open it from the inside either as the child locks are on, so to remove the door panel, the rear seats have to come out, its megane scenic any quotes....?
  19. Skype Oh, it looks like everyone else has beat me to it!
  20. Thanks everyone, but we've opted for Skegness Water Leisure Park, Walls Lane (opposite Butlins), we always stayed there whilst we were camping, and enjoy the site and its facilities and the staff are great too (except the duo in the on-site shop, who I always find to be a tad miserable!) So were going there, hopefully if they'll have us that is!!
