Does anyone know why police have cordoned off Millhouses Lane around the cinder path? Other half has just got home - says it looks serious.

Driving near the M1/Meadowhall roundabout the other day I noticed lots of green flags in peoples gardens - then on the news I saw the supporters of Gaddafi waving green flags, but not the rebels. Does this mean they are supporting Gaddafi, if this is totally wrong excuse my ignorance - or is it for some other reason all together. Sure someone here will be able to help me out. Thanks

I have a Linn separates hi-fi system which I am having trouble in setting up and sorting cables out. I think I am doing something wrong with the speaker wires. If anyone out there is a bit of an audiophile then I would appreciate a hand in setting it up if possible. I live in Millhouses and there would be a cup of tea and a slice of cake in it (or a can of lager!) The full story goes that I returned home and my wife had altered the living room around and unplugged my stereo which has led me to having trouble wiring the thing back up. Many thanks for any help offered.

I voted at hallam (millhouses methodist church) , came out from work and waiting for 45 mins at about 8pm, hubby went at 7pm but needed to drop/pick up the children and so couldnt wait that long, he tried again at 9pm but Q was still very long and he couldnt wait with the children. There were only two people processing the people and so it seemed very slow.

I am looking to buy a house outside Dronfield, around the Millthorpe area - does anyone know how I can look up the catchment areas for Derbyshire? There is a map on the Derbyshire Council website, but it is very vague and I cant make it out. Thanks Sunny

I have no experience of paintball - and my son wants a paint ball party at Strines - does anyone have any experience of it. They do allow 12 yrs and above to play - but is it suitable for a party - might they get hurt? Apparently they play with other adults on the day unless there are 30 in the party (which they wont be!!) I dont want to send other peoples children back bandaged up!!! Any experiences/thoughts appreciated. Thanks

Well - could be anything - a porse from wombell to randy hedgehog or two!!! Thanks for the answers - the only thing I can add is that it was so loud that it woke me up with a start several times that night - would a hedgehog do that? I mean even when I could hear it had travelled quite a way away? I feel like getting an old fashioned tape recorder to be prepared next time. Let me know if you hear or see anything. I live near Ecclesall woods and the other night both myself and my partner were woken in the middle of the night by an animal noise. It sounded a mix between a horse and a pig and went on, now and then, for about an hour. We both couldnt think what it could be. I have just watched the One Show and they talked about muntjac deer spreading around England. Does anyone know if they are in Ecclesall Woods, has anyone seen any, and would they be up and about in the middle of the night? Love to hear if anyone else has seen/heard anything.
