  1. lol, I'll bear that in mind.
  2. Wow, just done it and it looks great, cant wait to walk the route now. Thx.
  3. Thx for that. I'll have a look and let you know how I fare.
  4. Is it possible to plot routes on Viewranger? I was at Derwent edge the other day and I was amazed just how accurate it was. I would tho like to plot a route with it and follow it. In the meantime I've used the link I posted above to plot and print a route from Mam Tor and back via Lose Hill and Winn Hill.
  5. Sorted it. http://wtp2.appspot.com/wheresthepath.htm
  6. Hi all. I want to plan a walk and then print the map off, can anyone suggest any sites or software please? I have viewranger on my Nokia 5800 but I havent got to grips with it and not sure if it does this. It is an excellent piece of kit for viewing paths though.
  7. Oh ye, well .. .. .. unless you have a virgin router. Sorry spiritangel1, couldnt resist
  8. Thats just to save them the hassle when you phone up shouting because your internet is like treacle when your running half the streets resources off your connection.
  9. Same here, laptop, netbook, desktop, 2 ipod touch's and 2 nokia smartphones.
  10. OK then, you need to ask them if it can be used on more than one. They used to, and still may send out wireless routers that only allow one connection. maybe someone else on here can clarify this. I bought mine rather than rent because of this, but it was a good while ago.
  11. Is it also a virgin router? I know they had some that you could only use on one pc or laptop ata time.
  12. Ok, I just had a go on that version and it worked for me. If its not too big or personal can you email me a copy?
  13. What version are you using?
  14. If you change the background on the slide master it should go directly to the back and leave all text up front.
  15. Yes I installed from a friends back up cd. I thought when it come to the key input stage I could just enter the one on the sticker but as mentioned above it turned out to be a self activating back up cd. When i tried to put mine in it wouldnt have it. I went into the registry first to de-activate the back up copy and it has re-activated itself. Its not a problem as such, its activated and the key is a genuine corporate key that has not been over used, I just wanted the one from the sticker on thats all.
  16. It says I've typed the wrong key in but its been checked by others and I cant see it being blacklisted if its the key printed on the Microsoft cert sticker. Unless the world and his brother have had hold of it of course. EDIT: Just gone back in to retry and it says Product Activated. I borrowed a disc off someone to re-install and didnt know it was an unattended install. So it installed and activated it with the key for their company copy of XP. They have around 100 licences. I wanted to put the one in for the pc but it wont accept it.
  17. Depending on the model number you can get a new screen from ebay from around £40 for the 8.9", more for bigger screens(just looked) and most PC shops will do it for you. There will also be instructions somewhere on the net and these jobs can sometimes be easier than you think so have a look first.
  18. On a similar subject, I've just been given a PC by a Courier firm who only used it for a dos based programme. There was no operating system on it although it had a xp key sticker on it. I've re-installed XP pro (same version as key) on it but it says its the wrong key. Any ideas? I was going to contact Microshaft but they want £46.00 for the trouble.
  19. Looks like the Wybourn one was also part of a 64 episode series called 'Human Edge' in America, though the title was changed to 'effing Sheffield' think I prefer that title http://www.locatetv.com/tv/human-edge/2562480/episode-guide
  20. When I lived on the Wybourn in the 70's and early 80's World in Action did a film on the Wybourn and our neighbours on Maltravers Road were on it. The film you are on about is discussed here: http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=4418 Review here: http://www.timeout.com/film/newyork/reviews/78916/Tales_from_a_Hard_City.html
  21. I'm curious by this, it was a big thing when they first started the street mapping. How does it make it easier for burglars?
  22. Contact the helpdesk. Help and contact us on the left.
