I love the fact that this thread is still going! Actually I forgot all about this place until I came across this thread the other night and thought I'd give them a call. I ordered my fav - Italian Sausage for starters, followed by Spag Carb for main and then a cheeky portion of tiramisu for dessert. I must say I was not dissapointed with the quality of food or portion size. If anything, they have more than improved over the last year. Happy days and a happy Italian Express customer!! Yum! Yum!!

People on the Forum - I need your help! I'm off travelling for a year and I need a good carboot around the Sheffield area to sell my stuff at - can you recommend any? I have a lot of designer stuff to sell to I need a carboot where there is a lot of people attending. Many thanks Kym

Love the idea - I admire anyone who has got the get up and go to start a business in the recession. And a big to people who act on initiative. But you need a selling point - i.e. the top 100 quality indepndent businesses in Sheffield - therefore not just promoting businesses but also promoting Sheffield. Look for the local feel, and the fact there'll be just 100 puts you at an advantage over The Best Of, as these sites can be over crowded and local independant businesses can get lost. I'd be willing to work with you.

I used to go to the one in Chesterfield - a great group if you have the time. Chesterfield has been established just over a year now. Would seriously recommend it.

It's about following your passions, and that's what drove me to be where I am now. But be warned it's never easy..I attended the business exhibition at Doncaster the other month and came across Brad Burton who gave a great talk on being self employed. I've included the link for the talk, it isn't all on there but the best thing he said was "No one tells you when you start your own business about low sales, aggressively waiting for the phone to ring, self doubt, depression and a wingding wife" - love it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffLMn2x6QX0 I can also recommend the book - there are many self help books out there, but this one is an easy read and so very true. Good luck
