  1. Ah I see- brilliant. Cheers Jaythedon. My last 3 birthdays were ruined by my ex so wanted to do something different this year so that I actually had a good one. Glad someone just wants to take the p***. Appreciate that loads mate.
  2. £70 per person?! So for 7 people thats £490?!! Erm thanks for the offer but the original quotes we had were £140 so gonna have to pass on that one!
  3. I hope someone can help directly! It is my birthday this weekend and have arranged to go to Leeds on Saturday night with 6 mates. I provisionally booked a minibus but my mates took so long to confirm they were coming, it got booked by somebody else. I also just heard today from my 2nd possibility that they too have just been booked! So... I need a 7 seater to take us to Leeds from Sheffield around 8pm Sat night and pick up to go back from Leeds city centre at 2am. I have a few more mobile numbers to try but it's a bit late in the evening now and I'm working tomorrow so won't be able to phone till lunchtime. If there is anyone on here that can help and PM me a quote I'd be so grateful! xxx
  4. Hahaha love it! How do I take a screen shot?!
  5. That worked! I must have pressed the left arrow by mistake as I was selecting my photos! Thank you so much!
  6. I was in the middle of uploading photos and was highlighting them one at a time, when all of a sudden, everything on my screen did a 90 rotation to the left! So the 'top' of every page is now on the left of the screen and everything is written from bottom to top! The control pad doesn't work properly cos I can't work out what is up and down! I have no idea why this has happened. Rebooting the laptop hasn't helped. i'm sure it is something really simple to turn it back - please someone help!! Thank you!
  7. Thank you for all your suggestions! We will hopefully be making this night out a regular one, so may end up using all places!
  8. Hey lovely Sheffield people! I need to pick your brains! I am organising a night out for a large group of people, ranging in ages from 18 up. As there will be 20-30 of us (possibly more!), it will be difficult to all get together by just meeting in a bar. I am looking to book somewhere where we can all meet and have a few drinks/ chat/ dance for a few hours before deciding where we want to move on to. This way, the older crowd who don't want to go 'clubbing', can still come and socialise for a couple of hours without feeling out of place. We want somewhere lively where we can have a dance but not with the music so loud we can't have a natter (that will come later in the night!). The ideal place would have been the bottom bar at Forum as has tables but room to dance, music playing to dance to without blaring out etc, but this is already booked for the night we want. The other option I was given was a booth at Vodka Revolution but I'm not sure if this is too full on to start the night at (we'll be meeting about 8?), and it's normally quite a young crowd. I'm not sure the booths are big enough either? Anyone have any experience of booking these? Anyone have any suggestions or ideas where we can meet/ book?! (Probably from 8-10/11 till we move on!). Thanking you muchly!
  9. Seriously is there none?! Noooooo! lol! Any gyms or anything that would let a non- member use them?!
  10. I am off on holiday next week and am deathly pale. I don't want to burn on my first day so want a little bit of base colour before I go. (yes I know the risks of sunbeds, however burning your skin puts it at far more risk and looks rubbish so I'd rather have a couple of sunbed sessions!) I am working until 19:15 next week every day before I go and most places are shut by then. I don't use them regularly so only know one near where I live on Infirmary Road that shuts at 7. There used to be a self service one on Glossop road that was open till 9 so wondered if there was anything similar near/ in the city centre that I can get to walking/ by tram. I heard there was one near Hoyle Street? Also, is there any in town open on a Sunday? Thanks a lot!
  11. Thanks enntee but they don't have anywhere near my size in the ones I need! Is there really nowhere in the city centre that sells them?!! Thats shocking! What about Meadowhall?
  12. I agree- you need to trial it at a gym with proper instruction before deciding if it's for you or not and yes, you need to still do some cardio to keep fit. Although the powerplate tones me up 10 times as fast as not using it, I don't think it would be as effective without a cardio warmup first!
  13. They won't make you lose weight but they WILL make you tone up- lots! I am naturally slim so maybe I notice a difference quicker, but I only have to have a couple of sessions and am more toned. I had a personal trainer session to show me how to use it properly, and basically you do the same toning exercises you would do normally- for me that includes squats (for legs + thighs), planks (for stomach and core muscles) and sit ups/ leg lifts (for stomach). I also use weights when doing the squats. You basically hold the pose/ crunch for the 30 seconds + it is so much harder as your muscles are fighting against the vibrations. I do each exercise twice and use it for about 20 mins and I am sweating when I finish! When using it I am more toned than I have ever been! I think people who say it doesn't do anything and that it is a waste of money are either not using it properly and are literally just standing there 'wobbling' or maybe need to do some cardio/ keep fit first to get rid of a fat layer before noticing if the muscles are toning up? I would definately recommend being shown how to use it properly tho cos I wasn't convinced about it till I did!
  14. I am in desperate need for some black adult jazz shoes. I refused to buy new ones until now as knew I had some somewhere, but have now accepted they have been lost/ thrown in the move! I don't drive and don't get into town very often due to work so need somewhere in the city centre that i can get them. I know there is somewhere on Eccy road but I havn't got much time so dont want to be messing around with buses! I heard Decathlon might sell them- is this true?! Thanks for all your help! xx
