This thread is brilliant. Lot's of the memories are a little before my time (I'm an 80's kid), but I remember the little row of shops on Dixon. There was definately a bakers and a wool shop there when I was growing up.

I'm a blade living in New Zealand. Where they show NO league football.... Even the playoffs. I have been listening to the matches at 3am on the Radio Sheffield website for two and a half years... A friend of mine had an idea. If a fellow blade watching the match on the 25th who also had a webcam and skype, then they could point the webcam at the screen and make a homesick blade a very happy man. I know this is extremely cheeky, but I am desperate. I'll owe you a pint in the Cricketers on the first home game I am home this year... - our first game back in the Prem...! UTB Cheers.
