Hi everyone, the manager of city taxis phoned me this afternoon and he was very nice about everything. He is phoning me back tomorrow as there is still a couple of things he needs to sort out. Ifeel it wouldn't be right to comment further until this is resolved. As soon as everything is sorted out i will let you all know what happened.

Can i just say to the people who haven't read all the posts, we were at a 70th birthday party in a PRIVATE function room with all the family, people who are having a go about having a two year old out at nine oclock can i ask what you have all done when you've attended family parties /weddings etc? do you ban your kids from going cos it might be to late for them to be out? Its not as if were taking our grandchildren out every night its a one off.

Hi, im the person it happened to not the person u quoted. We knew and had no objection to paying for the car valeting. We are upset because we were dumped on city road with two small children. i think you have mixed my post up with someone elses. we never had a driver by is neck or whatever, just thought i would make that clear.

thanks, i just wanted people to be aware in case this happens to them, i feel like i'm in a court being sentenced about the times a two year old should be out.At the end of the day everyone has a family party/wedding to go to and everyone takes their kids, i feel like i've done something wrong by taking our two grandchildren to a private gathering.

Also, the fifty pound paid is for valeting, we knew and had no objection to paying. The taxi driver would have been out of service for a couple of hours, the sick was already in the car so what would a bit more have done, the manager at city taxis as also said the driver knows the rules and should always take a sick child to its destination.

The party started at 7.30 onwards, we got there about quarter to eight, our grandaughter had not eaten anything at the party, she was running aroung happy as could be. My grandson felt ill so we got a taxi,it was the two year old who was sick. Today their parents said they must have had a bit of a bug.How does anyone know if a child as young as two is starting with a bug? As for it been late at just gone nine on a saturday night i think thats crap. If you had a family wedding /party etc do you not take your kids/

We went to a private 70th birthday party in the function room, and all the family got together and yes there was children there, we were not in a pub club or anything like that we were at a private party, do you not have private family parties? Also it was 21.09 when we phoned for taxi to take us home, thats not late.

Last night went to a family 70th birthday party and took the grand children age five and two. The five year old felt ill so we got a city taxi to take us home, we were at the Davy whatever place down prince wales road and we were going to Gleadless. Whilst on route the two year old (not five year old) was sick, the taxi driver pulled up on city rd and told us to get out, we got out with a screaming two year old and a very scared five year old. My husband was trying to sort something out with taxi driver but he was rude abrupt demanded £50 ( normal sick fee ) and dumped us.My husband gave him £50 and driver was rude and drove off. We were going door to door in taxis so did not have any coats,it was windy and raining two year old was soaked through with sick i was covered in sick and we were dumped. I phoned my son to pick us up and i burst into tears, my husband phoned city cars straight away and got manager who told us the driver should not have dumped us with a baby but took us home, the manager is phoning back tommorrow regarding it.At the end of the day we did not mind paying the £50 charge we knew as soon as she was sick we had to pay, but not taking us home with an ill child is wrong.

China House Millhouses - Reasons to avoid
donna26 replied to Streetfarce's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Hi, if you look at the latest menu for china house you will find it says everyday special offer £11 for any four items from the menu which are 5.00 or under. We have ordered from china house for a long time and are very pleased with the meals. All the meals we have ordered have been really lovely and the food has been full to the top of the carton. Also you can have rice dishes and you can order at the weekends and get the offer. We had a meal from here last saturday we ordered house special fried rice. house special chow mein, special mixed with thai sauce and dancing dragon it cost £11. I am a very funny person when it comes to takeaways etc and always go to check the place out before i order, this place looks very clean. its like with any meal everyone likes different things and what might be lovely at one place might be terrible at another. -
Hi, Tom was my grandad, he loved been filmed for on the manor, sadly he died a few years ago. The rest of the Ismays are all still around except for Peter and John who also died.Ive got dvd of the series and now and then watch it,it brings back so many memories. At the end of the day on the manor was the first reality tv programme as it followed everyone every week.

Noisy quad bikes around Gleadless from 4am
donna26 replied to HubberHubber's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Hi, i've been reading this thread with interest.I live on bankwood road and the actual time this person first woke us up with this racket from the quad bike was just before three am this morning. The noise was horrendous he was just speeding up and down our road. He disappeared and eventually we got back to sleep, we were then woken again when he came back on our road and that was at quarter past four this morning. Ive spoken with our neighbours and i've been told the police were after him after someone reported him. -
ordered a few times and its nothing to shout about , its very bland and also the same order from rubeez is eight pound cheaper. But stopped ordering from rubeez because they took ages to deliver, once it was two and a half hour and last time we tried it they still had not delivered after a hour and half so we cancelled it ,got a load of abuse and was told it had been sent out . we ordered from else where and had eaten the meal when rubeez arrived we refused it told them we had cancelled and eaten and it was (after checking order time on mobile) three hours thirty minutes from time we originally orderd.Chutney is very over priced and a few of the curries all taste the same.
