  1. I have 4 children, and mine are always banging their heads my 2 year old, got a cut on her nose from wrestling her dad lol, she is so funny. and a cut under her eye from running into the table. You didnt deliberatly hurt her it was an accident and the older she gets the more she will have, it would be great if we could wrap them in cotton wool so they never got hurt but unfortunatley we cant and these things just happen
  2. from what leah said before its because you work 22 hours and not 20 or less
  3. I totally agree, I was financially stable before we had our children, and we always worked out if we could afford to have another child, i didnt just get pregnant and worry about it later
  4. I am not having a go at anyone, just stating how i feel, people dont work as many hours so they get the benefits if you need them fine, but it is the people who choose to work few so they dont have to pay everything extra. People go to work 60 hours a week who have kids to provide what they need. i do not sponge off no one andi have worked many many hours for the past 10 years so i do put my share into the community and i also work odd jobs self employed basis, and i dont just sit on my arse priducing children, my children were all planned and are all happy so that comment unneccessary
  5. I totally understand your situation tezza i have 4 kids youngest only 8 weeks old and working around children can become a nightmare, it is people who could work 40 hours a week but say oh no im not working 40 hours if i have to pay full rent etc.. ill work 20 and get it all paid for me, fair enough i think it is wrong that they make people like this better off by doing this, and the government should of sorted that, but they should surely think well i could work 40 hours and then ill be earning my own money not sponging, people who cant work 40 hours for genuine reasons are who need the benefits not those that just can not be bothered too
  6. Sorry if it sounded like i was having a go at you leah i wasnt i was just saying in general, i have a cousin who has just stopped her partner working full time so that she can still get benefits and i have told her as well that it is disgusting
  7. just wanted to add by trudging streets i mean delivering catalogues and leaflets
  8. Sorry to butt in on this, but that is what really winds me up!! i have 4 children and stay at home with them and my husband goes to work, yes i got the £500 grant and it did help buy the things my baby needed, (not much but some) anyway. I worked from being 16 years old and only stopped working 2 years ago, however i have never claimed this jobseekers money stuff, or housing benefit or council ta benefit or any of that, f i can not afford to not work i will find a way to get to work. People who only work so many hours otherwise it effects their benefits really really annoy me, work more earn more and you dont need benefits, i have been trudging streets for days on end to earn a little extra cash when my kids have wanted a new Wii or Xbox 360, as no we dont have mass amounts of money left over once everything is paid, but i would never say im not going to work 40 hours or i wont get benefits it is WRONG!!:rant:
  9. i agree bluevan i was gobsmacked that they say oh we will only pay £400 a week, My house only cost £500 a month, so whos costs £400 per week. Its madness, they shouldnt pay that sort of money for a house
  10. If you walk out after an operation they can call the social care people who will make you stay in for your safety as the hospital is then responsible for your care, you NEED to stay in for a few days if not just for the pain relief they can administer than anything else
  11. I have a mamas and papas ultima pram, the grey spot one http://picnica.ciao.com/uk/69688332.jpg same as this link that i am selling, I can fit it in my car i have an astra. Im selling it with carrycot, seat unit as well and i believe the maxi cosi seat fits the chassis also
  12. Sorry if i sound stupid ut what is BARF
  13. My midwife and health visitor were really good about my babys weight, she was not gaining as 'The Graphs' said she should she was only 6lb 11 and when we came out of hospital was doen to 6lb 4 and then it took her 2 weeks to go back to 6lb 10 so they said because she had 3 weight gains then she was fine shes just small. its ridiculous how they go by what graphs say, they are there for the average no 2 babies are the same my eldest weighed 8lb 4 and gained weight from the off, where as my youngest was 6lb 11 and lost 7 oz so they should know the child and not pressure mums into thinking the worst like your doing something wrong.
  14. Just wanted to say i sacked my midwife because she was useless and i just didnt get on with her, and it resulted in social services comeing to my house, (which ended up them apoligising for wasting my time as there is nothing wrong with my children) so please be careful what you do. But i do think they are useless i had my baby 2 weeks ago and the health visitor came monday and decided i needed to take my baby to the doctors about an indentation in her chest which the doctor said is perfectly normal. I always thought that health visitors were meant to know not just palm you off to the doctors
  15. where abouts are rain rescue kennels? if they arent far from me, im sure once i have had my baby i would be able to take some of the small dogs for a walk
