  1. Anyone know where i can get a real Xmas tree from that will deliver? Am in Heeley area
  2. Thanks thats great - btw if you have hours to waste - try the journey planner on the travel south yorkshire site - never tried anything so confusing in my life!
  3. I need to catch a bus from town to Heeley Green on Saturday when First buses are on strike. I know there is one but I'm not sure of the company or where it leaves town from - can anyone help?
  4. They do need to sort their phone number out - I tried to get in touch some months ago and the numbers given on the internet etc were wrong then
  5. We had our Xmas do there and it was horrendously expensive for the drinks. As Owlschick says we were charged £10 for 2 glasses of wine - I was shocked - although meant that we stayed sober!
  6. Ok - I don't know that part of Heeley - just know that up at Heeley Green by the co -op area there are loads of kids at night hanging around and police quite often there. Don't know if they are just hanging around and not causing trouble but it doesn't feel like a nice place to go after dark - maybe its the same all over though?
  7. Depends which part - what road are you looking at?
  8. One thing I didn't realise with HSBC (maybe the same with other banks) is that they cancel direct debits if they haven't been used for a while without letting you know. I used a credit card that I hadn't used for some time which had had a direct debit set up and ended up being charged a late payment fee by the card company as the bank had refused it. After many phonecalls I got the fee refunded but was cross that they had cancelled it without asking if I wanted that to happen
  9. Blackberry is? But you didn't know she'd already started the thread before? And you both had the same debate with a woman at work?....
  10. How come this is exactly the same quote that Blackberry started the thread 'animal charities ' further down. They said 'I had a heated debate with a woman at work today about animal charities.. She said " I would rather give my money to an animal charity than a human one" This made me abit mad because i feel money should always be given to human charities before animal ones. We should help starving, terminally ill homeless people ect over mistreated pets ect.. what do you think? ' Don't know how to do a link to the thread but its still there
  11. Was involved in this thread and it seems to have disapeared?
  12. I don't think thats very fair - you could say would you give to someone dying with a heart condition or someone with cancer? And had the person needing a kidney transplant contributed to their condition when the animal had not? Anyone giving to charity should not be criticised if they feel thats the right thing to do ( I personally don't agree with many things about the way some charities pay huge amounts to their top staff and about how they do their research on animals) Its such a personal thing who you choose to give to and I would never criticise someone who wanted to do so - you can only encourage them to give to your preferred choice if you want to
  13. God I haven't agreed with MC Spyda all day but have to say I agree with him/ her now! Charity donation is a very personal thing and no one can tell anyone who they should give to - its great if they give at all
  14. Counselling is a very personal experience and the key thing is to find the right person.I saw several counsellors before going to my doctors and was referred to the NHS counsellor at my surgery. She was absolutely right for me - I felt an instant connection with her so in my opinion I would ask at your doctors so at least you can go on the waiting list. In the meantime you can look around but I wouldn't count the NHS out - my referral was nothing like 2 years - maybe a couple of months. Can't hurt to enquire anyway
