  1. Childminder available in S18 from September 2013. Message me for more information. Thank you
  2. That's very helpful - thanks again for asking!! It could either be Valley Road in Meersbrook or Gleadless Valley just on the other side..? I'm only in research stage at the mo - could be a while before anything happens!
  3. That would be great, thank you. Other option is over in the Ecclesall area
  4. Hi, No I'm not part of Cornerstone Nurseries. Do you know where abouts in Meersbrook they are opening? At the moment I have 2 locations, Meersbrook was my first option but if they are opening one I'm not sure if there would be enough business... Thanks for your reply!!
  5. Hi everyone, I am currently looking into the prospect of opening a Nursery in the Meersbrook area and could do with a little advise from anyone that lives in, or close to, the area. I have (and am still) doing plenty of research on other Nurseries in the surrounding area also - the Nursery will be positioned fairly close to Chesterfield Road so could be handy for commuters who take this route into town. Does anyone live in Meersbrook? Do you think a Nursery there would do well? I would appreciate any advise on this by either replying to the post or via PM. Many Thanks!!
  6. Hi, From April I am starting as a full time Nanny in Crosspool/Broomhill. I was wondering if there are any other young Nannies in the area? Thanks, Amy
  7. Hello, my name is Brian Wilkinson, I work as a freelance yacht skipper sailing around the beautiful and varied Greek islands. The types of holidays / adventures I offer are ; Groups of friends on a get together for fun and socialising. Work colleagues on team building trips, Business networking. Stag and Hen adventures. Family holidays. I can also offer a greek language course built into the trip, which is excellent fun as you put your days learning into practice when ashore in the evening. Each trip is tailored to meet the requirements of the client, whether this is all hands on sailing or you just want to lay back and soak up the sun. In the evening you can spend the night anchored out in a secluded bay, swimming from the yacht and relaxing with a bottle of wine, you can moor up ashore and visit the beautifull local bars and tavernas, or you can head for the more party orientated islands and dance away till the sun comes up. If you require any further information please dont hesitate to call on 07876567738 or send a PM
  8. How much is the class on a Thursday? Can you just go along or do you have to call and book a place? How many roughly are in the class? Thanks.

  10. Hi, My name is Amy and I am 23 years old. I am looking for full time work as a Nanny (also possibly a Chidminder) I have the following: -Level 3 in Child Day Care -Diploma in Child Day Care -Paediatric First Aid -Completed DQP Course (focusing on the Early Years Foundation Stage) -Full, Clean Driving Licence -None Smoker -Full, Clean CRB Check -I have also signed up to do more courses on childcare in January - such as 'Social and Emotional Aspects of Development' and 'Every Child a Taker' -I am also in the process of becoming registered with OFSTED I love to be outdoors, walking, swimming and generally having fun with the children but also making sure they are learning new things at the same time. Although I do not have any 'professional' experience I do have plenty of expereince looking after children due to my mum being a nanny/childminder also. I babysit on a regular basis for children aged from 12 weeks old to 9 years old - References are available from parents. Ideally I am looking for a job as a Nanny in Sheffield or Chesterfield (and surrounding villages), However if i don't find anything I will be looking at Chidminding once I have been registered with OFSTED - I live in Woodseats in a ground floor flat - it has plenty of space and Graves park just up the road! Please contact me if you would like anymore information. Thank You, Amy
  11. My Name is Amy, I'm 22 and have just completed my Level 3 in Child Day care so am currently looking for a nannying position, preferably in S11 or S17, but around S8 would be fine also. Although I do not have any "professional" childcare experience I have been around other children since I was young - my mum has been a child minder for the last 20 years - I also babysit on a regular basis for a number of families, children’s ages range from 12 weeks to 9 years old. With my mum being a child minder I know lots of "kids groups" around the Greystones area and all the local parks and play areas. I am also looking to do a paediatric first aid course, I should have done this in the next couple of months. I am also signing on to do a chlid minding course - purely to open up other avenues of child care work, however if I find a nannying position before this is completed that would be great. I am looking for a full time position looking after 2-3 children during the days, rates of pay are £3.80 per child per hour, the price may go down slightly if there are 3 children full time. If you are interested please PM me for more details. Thanks.
  12. After looking round a few places (Rutland Hotel, Whitley Hall, Mosborough Hall) we settled with the BEAUCHIEF HOTEL... It's gorgeous, I live local and always drive past but never been in... it's a very reasonable price and they will include everything if you want them too... We're getting married Sept 2010 so got a while to plan things yet!
  13. Got another 15 months to wait but we're going to the Maldives... we were thining Mauritius at first but Maldives seems much cheaper... so we're obviously going with the chepaer of the 2! Can't wait!!!!
  14. I've just completed equivalent to NVQ Level 3 in Child Day Care and i'm thinking of becoming a childminder. My mum has been one for the last 22 years (since she had me) so i kind of know whats what. But I live in a ground floor flat - would this put parents off at all? There is enough room for 2/3 children and I would make the spare room into a "play room". Also, I'm going to be moving into a house in the next couple of years but just wanted to know peoples thoughts on the flat situation for now. ? Thanks, Amy.
  15. I was looking at doing a teaching assistant course but then changed it to child day care (as this gives you more outlets once the course is finished) I am doing it as a home study course, as i work full time. All together it's cost £325 and isnt taking long at all, i started it around a month ago and almost half way through! It's with UK Open College, they do all different child care courses including teaching assistant... just depends if your wanting to go to college as a way of meeting people... otherwise i would highly recommend the home studying!!
