As part of Sheffield Hallam Students' Union's Freshers week we are holding a market day. The day has been advertised in all our freshers guides (sent out to 15,000 students so far!) and on our website here http://hallamunion.org/welcome/2011/07/26/market-day/ If you sell anything that might be of interest to the student market and are free on the 30th Sept 11am -4pm please get in touch. There is a small charge for the stall of £4 plus VAT so thats £4.80 in total however this will need to be paid in advance to secure a spot. I am looking for stall holders who sell anything suitable for a student market. Previously we have had fashion, hand made bags, jewellery, second hand books, gift items being sold which have all been a success- though it would be great to have something that appeals to the male students too! The day is advertised as 11am-4pm but you can set up from 10:30am. You will be provided with a table and chairs but if you need any stands, table cloths or back boards etc you will need to bring these in yourself. Power can be provided if requested in advance. Stalls cost £10 plus VAT which comes to £11.75. Hi, the footfall in the students union on a friday averages at just over 1000. The market is in the entrance foyer so is is noticable to everyone entering the building. The first market day on the 1st october has been marketed as a feature in our freshers fortnight. The freshers event timetable has been sent to 1800 student addresses and will be in the halls of residences when the students arrive- you can look at http://www.hallamunion.org to see the timetable. On other market days we post it on our website plus put up posters around campus.

Hello, I am looking for a stall holder to run a fashion market during our freshers week at Hallam Students Union on Thursday 30th September. You will be the only stall holder and have the whole entrance foyer for your stock so ideally I am looking for a stall holder with a few rails of stock! You will be in the students union so your stock needs to be appropriate for students in terms of price and style. If I can confirm a stall holder quickly I will be able to make sure it goes in all of our freshers publicity to ensure a good turnout. Hi, I organise market days on a monthly basis for Hallam Students Union and am looking for some people to run stalls at the newxt event on the 5th Feb. The cost of the stall is £10, and you will be given a table and two chairs. The day runs from 11-4pm in the entrance foyer of the students union building. Typical daily footfall through this area of the building is over 1000. There is pay and display parking at the rear of our building and we are situated 2 mins from the bus and train staion in Sheffield centre. Hi Everyone, Thanks for all the interest in the market day! I have scheduled the first market day for the 9th October. The market days will be held on a friday as this is our busiest day in terms of foot fall- so hopefully that means more customers for you! The day will run from 10:30 and booking a stall will cost £10 to be paid by cheque in advance. If you are interested please email me on katie.johnson@shu.ac.uk with what type of goods you wish to sell and I will send over a booking form.
