  1. If you are unhappy with your solicitor ( I certainly would be given what you say ) You do have a right to state this and to change your solicitor. What she may be advising is to accept the terms laid down in the interests of the child. But you yourself can explain to the judge in this case what your feelings are. Family Courts are very experienced and would easily see through your husband if he was trying to make things difficult for you. DO NOT be afraid of the courts. If you have never been to Family Court before you will find they are not as bad as you would think. I myself would have taken you to the court house first and taken you through all the procedures so as to relieve your anxiety. So please try not to worry too much. I have a feeling you are worried and stressed as to the outcome. But you may find the case will be put off to a later date to allow you to give all your facts and worries about your jusband and your child to the welfare officer.
  2. They would not tell you that he would get what he wants. It does not work like that this solicitor needs to be reported for a statement such as that. I am afraid you may be getting the wrong advice. It also seems that you are not able to understand english law. To me this does not seem to be a solicitor but a badly trained advice worker. Courts and welafre workers are well trained in this respect. The welfare of the child is paramount. You are entitled to representation by law. This will be offered to you if you go to court
  3. Some machines take ages to pay out after the card comes out. I waited for ages for my money at one particualr machine I was about to go inside the garage to ask if their was a problem when the cash came out. This could have been the case here.
  4. Many strange dads need a kick up the butt. But so do some mums. KIDS COME FIRST is what needs to be the saying here. A part time just wannabe a dad when it suits me is no use. Better no dad at all than have a child mixed up and made insecure. This guy needs to be given an ultimatum and needs to make plans and keep to them. If not then he has no love for his child. Both of you need to see a councillor and arrange an agreement that suits both of you. Sometimes a third opinion from a person outside of the situation can help. In court a welfare officer will be instructed to look into all of the families problems and a report will be sent to the courts. This is a long process. It is better for all concerned if reasonable agreements can be made without involving social workers as they can also cause problems and animosity within the family unit. Social Workers should be there for problem families and those at risk. I do hope that the poster sorts out this without court intervention as she seems not to understand how the system works. I doubt she has seen a solicitor to get advice but then again many solicitors love to take these cases to court ( MONEY ). Find a mutual friend or even the local church or mosque can assist.
  5. I would love to help this guy to park his caravan on Scrivens or Mothersholes garden. They seem to have a good life and nice gardens at our expence. If they force him out maybe there are those of us that would do this as a protest for him. Let us bully the Bullies
  6. I have a feeling someone is doing a little winding up here. Having read posts by Digsy I think he needs to get some professional help. I dislike Sheffield but for other reasons. Crime is not so bad now depends on where you live as to how you see it. Depression can be seen in these posts as well as paranoia. Digsy do you smoke cannabis
  7. Freecycle is a good system . As I mentioned dealers are a problem, So is the fact that notices are not posted straight away. They say this is not allowed but it is Just as we do here on Sheffield Forum. I did have a friend who had a relative that moderated on freecycle. He told me that being a mod was a good chance to get hold of any good items before anyone else. Phone the doner just before posting the ad. Freecycle is open to abuse and this needs correcting. There are some very good mods so it would be easy enough to allow posters to post without vetting and mods delete if the ad is wrong.
  8. There are a few probs I have with freecycle.., One is that there are a lot of dealers using the site and making large profits
  9. Yes the Angels are at it full time again. I will need one for quite a while so may need to buy one. Cheers matey
  10. I need an small tank complete with lid and light fittings . My Angels have laid eggs and the fry need to be seperated as soon as possible. It is ironis that I gave 2 spare tanks away last week. The one I kept for this purpose is damaged. I can afford to pay a reasonable price if anybody can assist me. Thanking you in anticipation Anthony Tel;- 3071223 ( number begins with a 3 and not a 2 ) Or Mobile. 07786768081
  11. Yes we need the census. It seems that many do not know why we have this and what uses it has. Education education LOL..., We also need much more such as compulsory names of fathers on birth certificates and proof of parentage. There are so many incestuous relationships now. I am told we are one of the worse in the western world for this. Little wonder there are so many dysfunctionals being born. If benefits were reused to single mums for not having a fathers name on the birth certificate I am sure they would put it on. This would also make it easier to make the father pay a share of the massive benefits received by single parents. Maybe this would be a problem for some families. One I know of the kids would have 6 differing surnames in the family.
  12. Of course the teachers got paid. Do you expect them to work for nothing. Volunteers are great and it is so sad that we have to rely upon them to support our services. But this helps to cut the cost. However. Nobody forces anyone to volunteer. Teachers are paid because this is their job. Any teacher as well as support staff that made it to school on these bad days all deserve praise.
  13. I lived in Darnall for the most of my younger days. I was about 8 years old when we lived on Darnall Road. I attended Whitby Road School. The was in the first line of pupils to enter Waltheof School when it was built ( Sad the way this school has deteriorated ), We moved to Attercliffe Common corner of the dreaded Whitworth Lane when I was about 16 The Police Station now stand on my former home. Yes post. Darnall has been wrecked, Many homes demolished over the years. It is not just now that this Council started to destroy communities. It has been ongoing for a long time. When families were living on the same streets and neighbours used to help each other. How I wish for a return to this way of life. No Political Correction, Ears boxed if we misbehaved. Discipline and pride could be seen. Not like today as well as ripping off the system people ( some people ) have become greedy and idle with a fu...You Jack I'm OK attitude.
  14. Thanks to all. Great of you. I have sent a pm to puddinburner. You are the closest. Thanks to all that have replied and a Happy New Year to you all
  15. OK Tony Thanks be in touch if need it
  16. Maybe someone has reported the dog missing and till you report it has found they will not know. Ring the Dog Warden and let the Police know you have found it that is the sensible thing to do. The Dog Wardens check for chips etc.
  17. No afraid not. If I had a car I would have taken him there. As I said and hopefully right. I hope someone in the area reads this who has a set of cutters. If it gets uregnt and the dog becomes uncomfortable then I will get him to take it to a fire station or keep an eye open for a tender in the area or a workman with tools.
  18. This guy is not close to one. The choker is not harming the dog as yet but it will not come over the neck, The dog gets upset when anyone tries to pull it off, But it needs to come off before the dog starts to put on weight. It was rather neglected when he took it 3 weeks ago. I was just hoping that someone close by would have a bolt cutter. I myself tried to use an hack saw but the sound and vibration stressed the dog.
  19. I have a friend who has taken a dog on. He adopted this after the owner died. The problem is the choker is very tight and needs to be removed. Has anyone in the Shirecliffe Area got a set of bolt croppers they can loan for a few minutes so as to remove the choker. Please contact me on para.legal@blueyonder.co.uk or ring 3071223
  20. There are so many people that do not know the difference between cold and flu. But you can bet if you get the flu then you will know. A little cough or sneeze and some people think they have the flu.
  21. For many years we have seen demonstrations about many differing subjects. One thing in common with all of them. The students and the socialist worker activists can be seen in the forefront. Many of these idiots especially the younger one's have no idea why they are demonstrating / rioting. This is just for the fun of it. Again for many years the students have abused our freedoms and our democratic system. Though it is not perfect it is the best. Any other country including USA these students would have faced armed resistance water canon dye guns tazers. many would have found themselves in jail for rioting as many did. The students in this country have had it far too good for far too long, They still do. Then we also have to contend with the foreign students rioting as well. Sense. Logic. Out of the window.
  22. Of course it was a condition of them winning. If they lost ( and they did ) the election this bill would have been passed by the Labour had they gained power and maybe a lot worse than it is set out now. However, The Lib Dems did not gain power at all. This bill would have gone through regardless. The Lib Dems could promise anything they want because they would not have to honour the promises they made. This is a coalition Government not a Lib Dem Government. Sacrifices have to be made for the good of the country not just the students who will not have to pay these tuition fees back unless they earn enough, Then only a small portion at a time. The students are mad not to see they are being used.
  23. Many places worse than Shirecliffe. On a whole Shirecliffe is a great area and has very few dysfunctionals living here. I have only lived here for 17 years and have enjoyed every minute of my time here. Great neighbours. If anyone from Shirecliffe is reading this Have a Happy Xmas. Though you all know I am really a scrooge LOL LOL
  24. The students were not lied to. I thought they were supposed to be educated. We do not have a Liberal Government. Promises made by the Libs were made on the basis that if they were elected into Government. They can afford to make these promises because they would never have been elected as the major party. Despite all the promises they made they got very little votes. Hence we ended up with the two major parties. So the Libs had to choose who they would support in a coalition. Had they chose the Labour party we would be in a real mess by now and in serious trouble. They chose to go with sense the Conservatives. They cannot do anything else than what they have already done. This has happened now cope with it. The days of freebies for students has ended. They have a much better system if they thought about this. But they cannot think for themselves. I respect the majority of students that have demonstrated to get over their message. But the outsiders and those that use Uni as a way of escaping work by taking on one of the many rediculous courses that even if they passed would not pay them enough to reach the target of £21000 a year required to make small repayments. Those that are not interested in the students only in rioting, Those that were influenced by the Socialist Worker. I have nothing but contempt for them at all. As for the E.M.A. This is a seperate matter to encourage youngsters to riot. This should never have been brought in to begin with. Many 16 to 18 year olds spent more time in bed than they did at school. Or skipping lessons. This was badly managed and should had it been kept have depended upon attendance.
