I've been having major problems with TalkTalk for about a month now. I was getting over 11MB download speeds, before I changed to TT Plus in June last year. Since then I've been getting about 9.5MB, until a month ago, when speeds dropped to less than 0.5MB on some days. My speeds are now up and down like a yoyo, with numerous drop outs. TT advised me 2 weeks ago that Openreach were trying to locate a broken cable to my exchange in Ecclesfield. This has been resolved but my speeds and drop outs remain the same. I'm now seriously considering moving to littlebigone or advance, in an effort to get a steady reliable connection and speed. Does anyone have advice on these 2 local fibre broadband ISP's? I had a flat garage roof and a flat dormer roof re felted recently by a guy called Craig who owns and runs a company called A1 (Flat) Roofing Services in Sheffield. I cannot fault the standard of service I received from this company in any shape or form. Craig himself is a very friendly, knowledgeable guy and went out of his way to answer all of my questions prior to providing me with a very competitive quote for the work. His felt roofing team arrived just a few days after I had asked Craig to carryout the work for me and the way they went about their business was exemplary. Again like Craig, his workmen were very friendly and polite and also obviously highly skilled in their chosen field. To say I was over the moon at the standard of felting that they produced would be a vast understatement. A1 (Flat) Roofing Services provided me with a full written guarantee which again gave me total peace of mind. After all the recent rain, the flat roofs that Craig’s company re felted for me remain completely watertight. I realise this is an old thread but thought my following comments may be of use to someone else who stumbles upon these posts as i have done. I’ve just had the great pleasure of employing a Sheffield company called Guttering Solutions run by a guy called Craig and based in S10 to install me new gutters around my house and premises. Upon their recommendation following an extensive free survey I have had the old rotting wooden gutters replaced with an apparently fairly new product which exactly mimics the shape of wooden gutter but it is in fact made from a very rigid black Upvc. It looks fantastic and will obviously never need painting! Elsewhere I had seamless aluminium gutters fitted by Craig and his team, again to a very high standard and as with the wood look Upvc gutters I mentioned at a very competitive price indeed. He also installed me some excellent leaf guards too and at half normal price which work wonderfully. Finally whilst working on my properties Craig introduced me to a new venture that the company had started in recent months of white Upvc restoration/cleaning. I had him do me a free demonstration (this being the norm apparently) and decided immediately upon seeing the results to get the white fascia boards and soffits done plus the windows and door at the front of the property. The house looks absolutely wonderful now that all the works completed and as a result I would not hesitate to recommend this local company to anyone.
