  1. Yup. I'd much rather support an independent, but they're few and far between these days. Such a shame Jennings is now closed. I loved that place.
  2. One is wondering where one may obtain some? I'm in S2. An adventurous type. Happily willing to travel up to 4 miles!
  3. Coming back here after a 4 years break! 😁
  4. Right time of year for honey fungus. So you have a pic?
  5. Another just flew over quite low. Heading chesterfield way over manor top.
  6. I have false legs. One night whilst walking by Exeter drive I was mugged. Luckily I had nothing on me of value but in the fracas I lost one of my legs. I put an appeal out and luckily someone claimed to have found it! On meeting them to retrieve said leg I was mugged again, and they took the other one. This totally happened!
  7. Talbot gardens near park hill is unadopted too.
  8. Over the moon for him. Gu on Billy lad.
  9. We've been informed there are no.plans to Frack in Stannington.
  10. Not to mention the radioactive and other toxic waste they want to dump down the wells.
  11. Thanks for looking. And giving me the opportunity to bump this.
  12. Well it seems that Stannington is now in the firing line with ineos looking to do seismic testing. If you'd like to keep up with news on this there's a new Facebook group "Stannington Against Fracking". https://www.facebook.com/groups/586891208186138/
  13. Im pretty sure there weren't any terrorists there tbh. I didn't see any anyway.
  14. Oh ffs, I didn't mind the inconvenience, but it was silly that anyone was inconvenienced giving it was basically an exercise in cattling people and controlling movement etc. I couldn't give a flying if they did these exercises daily but a bit more organisation wouldn't go amiss.
  15. No musing unfortunately (I do love Meadowhall) just a supposed quick dash inside to collect someone. All I'm saying is if parts of the place are to be closed off then why leave entrances open that lead to nowhere? A few signs at the entrances to the car parks would have helped things go smoother for everyone involved. No?
  16. We weren't ushered out we left because we wanted to, they weren't emptying the place. Also what ever exercise was going on there was no public interaction at all, they curtained areas off so you couldn't even see what was happening.
  17. The point is almost all the shops were already closed and the car parks mostly empty, so why not direct cars to where you can enter and exit instead of having people guess the way back to their cars? As for the "stewards" they didn't know the lay out or which direction to send people, one sent us into a dead end, another said "I don't know the way but a lot of people have been going up those stairs, .maybe try up there". We were parked at ground level!
  18. Was nice of them to let us know they'd be closing a large part of it off tonight without warning. I understand they must do these things but why not warn people so they can park in appropriate car parks instead of saying bugger all? Went to pick my little girl up from a party there earlier only to be diverted right around the outer perimeter, and if I hadn't been there a lone woman with several kiddies having to do the same. There were loads of "stewards" dotted about, mostly from Hull I was told and most had never even visited meadowhall before let alone be able to direct people the correct way. Way to go you bloody idiots.
  19. Probably not relevant but the little scrap yard on the brow of Woodbourne road used to be owned by Nettleships.
