  1. More the merrier ^_^ look forward to meeting you
  2. Just waiting to find out if Kai had any luck with her land lord friends, if not im going to book a room for the first meet
  3. Casuals sound good while we start im sure i could get a few npc's for them to use, i been asking round other places locally i know. Im quiet happy to travel anywhere in reasonable distance so broomhill is ok Thanks for the tip Jacko i'll have a look at that. I know i can hire a "meeting" room anytime i like for £10 per hour. Assuming 4 or 5 of us as it seems people ok throwing in a couple of quid for the rent of the place? Its located above a library so its nice quiet and private enough for us to shour out about cookies to our hearts content ^_^ (now i want cookies!)
  4. Thanks Jacko for the offer but id like to stick with Amo_angelus on this one, something we wanted to do together I had no luck getting somewhere to start a new group up with that doesnt cost abit to rent out on a regular basis but i can get free room for 1 or 2 odd meets which seems fair enough to start with to see if we all get along and get things rolling , If you are intrested PM me with your free times and ill see if there can be a chance we all have a spare slot
  5. Sorry Amo_Angelus, i got confused my bad. Wed sounds ok to me, ill see what i can get space wise and nights its free, and conf tomorrow what we can get for sure
  6. Seems like we have a good chance of trying a group from scratch here cool! @ HarmOKnee i dont see a problem with newbies atall, we all are at some point, and its been so long since i played i feel like one anyway. What nights did people have in mind if we were to try a meet a couple of times? Personally i couldnt make thursday or friday evenings but any other im free as for location what areas are people looking at, i may have access to a bit of free space near the tesco on infirmary road though i need to have a chat to some people about that before i can be certian, and would depend on what night also. The rule set me and my friend have is version 3.5, would people be happy using these older rules? I have read about the newest v4 but all i read seems to be negative and i havent been willing to part with the £60 for updates that no one seems to want to use, atleast not unless a group we joined used them, then ofc id update hehe.
  7. Thanks for the replys @ Dark Moomin sounds great if you could pass on the word thanks , i understand your DM completly, intergrating new players into a ongoing campaign isnt always easy especially when their strangers. @ Kaizabella more the merrier! i hope we all find what we want , is it D&D you were wanting to play also or have another game in mind? If we have sufficient intrest to possibly try a group im up for it for sure. I know me and my friend are happy to commit to a weekly basis (depending on the night as we have other commitments too hehe) and a couple of "casual" people that cant commit to more than an occasional meet unfrotunatley or it would have been so much easier to get going .
  8. Myself and a friend are looking at D&D roleplay groups in S6 and city centre sort of areas, we havent been able to find any so far and i thought that i may have more luck here at either finding one, or some other local like minded people to join us for a night a week . We are both new to this particualr game though both have experience with other similar ones, and looking for a group to join on a regular basis if things go well. This may be answered else where if it is please direct me to the right place and id be happy to look round, though a scan over the posts and the search function came up blank for me. Thanks in advance Matt
  9. Stitchy club is a group for cross stitchers held in the S6 area of sheffield. We meet in the Zest center in upperthorpe library's canteen area. We meet on Thursdays from 7pm - 8pm though most regualr members are there from 6ish and often stay later. We are friendly and helpful with people from all backgrounds, ages and skill levels. Feel free to pop down any time! The usual price is 50p per meet, which pays for light refreshments, but if you have any special requirements let us know and we'll try our best to cater for you. For further details pm me any time and ill be happy to help
