Got a reply off the seller, he says:- "The phone is gun metal, and yes it is branded with the Three logo. I work in the phone industry I upgraded to this phone about 3-4 months ago. But I have recently purchased a nokia n97. The phone is in perfect working order i have used it about 5-6 times maybe. the fact that it is a contract phone doesn't effect my rites to sell the phone or your rites to own it and clame off the warranty which is longer then first stated because it was an 18 month contract to in fact there is about 14 months of lg's warranty left which can be clamed by going into any three retail shop with the receipt which will be sent with the phone".

I'm looking at a mobile phone on ebay, it has the original reciept with it and was purchased 4 months ago as an upgrade. Would the phone be tied to a contract? Just making sure before purchasing something that might be blocked or could get blocked.
-
I took it back today and got a refund, don't think they had much choice.

It's not been reported stolen or lost according to the online report, it's been blocked as the bill hasn't been paid it seems.

Just bought a mobile phone from Cex and when i got it home i noticed that it came up with the words 'INACTIVE USIM' and i thought it could be blocked or barred. I did a check online using CHECKMEND and it says that the phone has been blocked by 1 or more UK Networks. It hasn't been reported Lost or Stolen, Obviously it was on a contract and that person hasn't paid their bill and it's become blocked. The phone is on 3, Cex didn't have anymore of these phones in the shop so i am really annoyed at the moment, Is there anyway that 3 might unblock it if i tell them i have bought it from Cex? So i can use the phone.

Plymouth definitely no doubt about it at all, Can't really give an opinion on Scarborough, heard bad things about Scarborough though. I used to live in Plymouth, lived there for 2 years, It's lovely and much warmer.

Basically i want to upgrade my standard Sky box to a HD box, I will probably buy one off ebay as Sky have said there is a minimum wait of 3 months to get one so I'll buy a secondhand one. Then i want to put the standard Sky box in one of the rooms upstairs, that's all i want to do, so I guess I'll need to buy the HD box, the LNB cable and i could buy a viewing card too so the box upstairs can have all the free channels on it. I don't mind paying £9.75 a month for the HD subscription but i don't want to pay another £9.75 a month for multiroom as well as i already have the big Sky package and broadband and phone line rental with Sky.
-
Also does anyone know if there is a way of using two Sky boxes one upstairs and one downstairs but watching different channels without subscribing to multiroom?
-
Thanks for the info Agrajag, So i will be able to watch Sky in HD then? I need to ring Sky to subscribe to the HD channels though don't i.
-
Thanks for replying chris, Would i get the HD channels though without having to have more wires put on the dish?

I have a standard Sky box but i want to get a Sky HD box however Sky have said there is a 3 month + waiting list. I'm considering getting a Sky HD box off ebay however could i use it without Sky having to come out to put more wires onto the dish? Isn't that just so you can record using the Sky+?
