  1. that's how ebay works, the seller always spends less on postage than they charge, they're just making a bit more money
  2. are you sure you don't mean 'young' people in general ohmygod? its probably a mess most weekends after the friday/saturday nights out. its no better or worse than any other bar and club area of a major city, deal with it!
  3. having moved here fairly recently i have no knowledge of what was on the site beforehand etc, but i do believe the tower is really out of place. it looms over everything surrounding it and the brown cladding panels mean it will be ugly and rightly unpopular. sheffield does not need this kind of development. like every other city it needs affordable family homes, not shoeboxes in the sky.
  4. i've noticed more and more that the projection is out of focus (mainly an odeon thing- what a dive, but right round the corner from us) its really distracting when they try and adjust it halfway through the film!
  5. don't really know/care how well thought of they are, but i have conciously avoided all the harry potter films as i have the books; i can't really figure out the reason why, just one of those things you instinctively take a dislike to. it is getting tricky at christmas though, there are potter films all over the place then!
  6. whenever i'm ill enough to warrant sitting on the sofa all day with a duvet i always watch fred and ginger movies; watched them a lot as a family when i was little so that's probably why. amelie aswell cause its so sweet and romantic and we all need a bit of that sometimes. if i fancy some gunplay the bourne films or die hards 1 and 3 usually find their way into the player.
  7. clockwork orange for me. i had read the book for english a-level and was really disappointed with the film; the nature of the violence was altered and the vital last chapter were left out, so in the end the film made no sense. i recommend the book, weirdly prophetic.
