We been getting these were i work in a residential home, all i do spend all day hunting them down and killing them they are such a pest and if you dont kill them they will nest, and then before you know it you will have hundreds of the buggers as they reproduce really quick. They do leave a nasty smell if they are distressed i been told its a call for help which i thought was stupid - then when i went to stamp on one this black one with orange spots came right at me landed on my arm and then it bit me! So i killed that one to.

I have tried that, not sure i got a typical steering lock as ignition is inbetween the seats?

No the key wont turn at all but it goes into the lock fine, its almost as though something wont disengage in the barrel to allow it to turn. I have never had this problem before no. Key feels like same going onto the lock just wont turn.

Yes its an auto and the car is in the P position. Someone said to wait till it dries out, but WD40 to my knowledge wont dry??

She was sat in the car and the can was in the door card, she sprayed it all over the centre console area round the ignition barrel (which are located in the centre on most SAAB's) More WD40? Ok, well, its already broke so worth a try!

Everytime i fix the car somethig else goes wrong with it, last time it was for sale the back brake seized up. Cant win! Would WD40 really cause an ignition barrel so seize up?

I need someone to come out and fit me an ignition barrel for a 1997 Saab 900 Auto tomorrow please, mine has ceased up after my daughter spreayed WD40 inside it and i cant turn the key to start the car. Please PM me if you can come out and fit one - I cant start it to drive to a garage. Cash waiting as I REALLY need this done tomorrow!

Yes I rang him, he said Monday which is fine, just wanted to go away tonight to my dads as he lives near Chester, so if anyone could of done it today it would have been ideal, but these things happen.

I am going down all the usual avenues, calling SAAB specialists up and garages I have used in the past ect, but I cant start my car to get it to any garage, so I was wondering if anyone can come out today and supply and fit an ignition switch for a SAAB 900 please?

Some of the comments on this thread make me sick and some people on this forum need a good slap in the face! A baby can bring joy and happiness to someones life. I went through a terrible stage in my life were I lost my job, lost my driving licence, got into debt and evicted from my flat. My mum, sister both grandads and my nan passed away within a year as well. It was my own fault I hold my hands up to it as I let things get too far out of hand and was too lazy to do anything about it. I then met someone, and we had a baby, from that point onwards I changed my life round as I had someone who depended on me for support and a role model figure, I had someone to care and look out for, love and cherish with all my heart. Me and my daughters mum split up but I still work as hard as I can to help support the best I can and I have a life threatening heart condition. If it wasnt for my daughter I would most probably be dead, or completely off the rails, but thanx to her I changed my life round, got a decent well paid job, a car I always wanted as a present from my daughter to me, and when she grows up I want her to know how much of an impact she had on my life. A baby can change someone for the better, doesnt always have to be a bad thing having kids when things are going wrong or not working out. They can give you the extra determination and the final push to do something with your life. I will forever be greatful to my daughters mum for this chance and life changing commitment.

Yes lol I have changed the batterys twice to make sure the first set I replaced them with were not a faulty batch.

I foolishly worked in the ticket office a few years back but quit thank god! The amount of people crying down the phone, the eldery being scared into paying, the disabled being treated like trash and one time, a young woman died of cancer who got a ticket and she got hounded for her last 4 months to pay, and they then tried to get the cash of her parents!!! I have had 4 tickets from them since leaving and I have never got a letter from them saying to pay or the fine is increased ect ect, now maybe thats because they are still very disorganised, or they know that trying to chase me will be more hassle for them than it's worth, with what I know about the company. Either way, my advise is also, DONT PAY and DONT have any contact with them at all under any circumstances.

6:00 this morning the tmep lights on Crookes Road were stuck on red on both ends, I realised this after waiting over 5 mins for them to change to green then I proceeded with caution to find another driver at the other end about to do the same thing. On the way back about an hour ago, one side was working but the other side was still stuck on red, workers are there but they didnt seem to be doing much about it.

I only have a single key fob for my car, which is the only it came with when I baught it, and today the fob malfunctioned. It took me over 40 mins to unlock the car as the fob is the engine immobiliser as well, and if i use the key to open the door the alarms go off (this is normal on saabs that have remote entry) I rang up Saab and was told I would have to pay £160+ for a new fob!! I almost died on the spot, thats expensive for a key! I know it has to be programmed to the cars ECU ect but £160??! Is there anyone who can do this for cheaper? I been told to buy the key blank and fob from ebay myself and just take it to get set up to the car, but I have no idea were to take it, so any suggestions please?

I apologise if there have been other threads about this and dont mean to drag up old arguments over it. My dad was in the army for 30 years and as kids, we were drilled into respecting the flag, the crown and her majesty, also the history of the flag and it's origons. Hanging it upside down is still seen as Insulting The Crown and has never been changed, and believe it or not, though never carried out naymore, is classed as Treason still. The Union Jack has carried this nation through 100's of years of wars and battles and once feared but very much respected and seen as a sign of hope and peace, but also power, pride and the will to fight.

I have seen a few Union Jack flags hung around, and it amazes me how many people in this country STILL cant hang our nations flag correctly, and some of them had no idea there was a right and wrong way to put it up!

Thank you everyone, I had to share it with you all as it made me appreciate what I have in my life, and how special thoes who can never experiance or enjoy most of the things we can, really are, all she needed was a friendy hello by somone who doesnt look at her any differently than I look at myself. All I did was spend 20 seconds saying hello, and thoes 20 seconds have probably changed someones life in some way. Amazing. Because I was brought up with it like I said, to me it's normal but from the outside, to other people it can look amazing and take people by surprise. Untill today, I never realsied how much doing that can mean to someone when it comes from a stranger.
