Yes I enjoyed it too. I spotted the old Bole Hill Lane School, the couples house was around Linaker / Waller Road. Then the last scene was where the spectacular views are from Stannington View Road...only it was night. I especially liked that she walked in the right direction home!

Rumours Fleetwood Mac

They've apparently been mooooved on....

I have to admit, I didn't use Knowles's emporium as much as I did Party Line, and I still miss the silver shop Point 902, although they are on line I like to look for my self.
I wonder what else would do well?

Have just walked through Broomhill and can't help but notice the Closing down sale posters in the window. A sad day for Broomhill, the shop seems to have survived a good while and added to the individuality of the area. I just hope it doesn't stand empty for too long or turn in to another mini market.

We are all completely beside ourselves by Karen Joy Fowler. Don't read any Amazon type reviews as it will spoil the twist. Surprising, thoughtful, made me question life . Unputdownable.

I don't think the small food shops in Crosspool would survive a second convenience store. The fruit and veg shops, the bread shops, even the newsagents would undoubtedly suffer and we'd end up with more empty premises.
Â
A petrol station that could price match Crookes and other local petrol stations would have much more trade and I fail to understand how fuel is cheaper in Bamford than Crosspool. I'm objecting to a new development.
I want Crosspool shops to survive.

I would like to reccommend an electrician I have used this week, Scott Graham of S10 electricals. I picked him out of the phone book, he moved a socket for us and refitted a security lamp. Arrived as planned, fitted us in as requested, reasonable price too.
Â
Also just had fitted wardrobes by Supafit of Dronfield and Heeley. They are stunning wardrobes. Delighted with the service and the finished product etc.

When new uniforms were introduced at our school a few years back it was a gradual thing. New Y7's all had to have the new uniform from their start in September, other years had 2 years to replace the old one. Schools know how difficult it is for parents to buy new uniforms, why not email and ask if this is the plan.

If you`ve been to Burslem, Tunstall, et al, you`d realise that their fans are probably middle class relatively back in the Potteries.I am Potteries born and bred, and I can confirm this without hesitation.

(Thanks jemson for giving me the best laugh of the day, clearly have both made a lucky escape)

The Joke shop in Broomhill sells them (opposite Toyriffic at the traffic lights), also the fancy dress shop in Crookes (Mr Bens). I've got 2 on top of my wardrobe, but I'm saving them for a special occasion sorry!
Â
And poundland sell a selection of moustaches, 5 for...........can't remember, something cheap!

you could do a Guess Whats in the Box game, ie cardboard boxes with something made in Sheffield in....perhaps a fork, a horse shoe, a matchbox tram etc, but each box is filled with something progressively yucky.......cornflakes, yoghurt, shredded newspaper etc.
A big bowl of hand washing soap and water at the end.
Even big kids love mess.

I quite like it, reminds me of the 70's, long hot summers, grass up to my knees, cheese cloth tops, dandylion and burdock..........

I agree Suffragette, I couldn't understand that his wife would let him anywhere near him immediately after he told her he'd had an affair, even less so as it was supposedly with the 15yr old.
Â
We all have different comfort zones though. I'm generally most comfortable watching a Morse type murder mystery, and although I found this very uncomfortable I could just watch it, unlike, for instance, torture scenes in spy/FBI series such as 24 or The girl with the dragon tattoo.

Very clever, compelling, uncomfortable viewing. So many unanswered questions. My skin is still crawling at the thought of him. The question I keep asking my self is, would I lie to the police for my husband, would I believe the lies and excuses?

Vitos on South Road, WalkleyÂ
I'm afraid I thought this was very average. In fact i even wondered if it was the same Vitos that I was reading about on Trip Advisor

I think the number 52 which seems to run every 5 seconds or so goes there, but I'm not 100% sure!Â

Great, compulsive addictive viewing, had me on the edge of my seat. Just need my OH to catch up so I can feel safe when watching it.

Moon 6/10 A bit slow to start, but gets you thinking as it progresses. No special effects, but food for thought and nice twist at the end.
