  1. sounds more like ear problems.
  2. When I was at school many moons ago, if I had gone home and said a teacher had slapped me because I had thrown a paddy and scratched said teacher, I would have had another slap off my mum and then taken back to school to apologise.
  3. Try megabus, they do cheap coach and train fares.
  4. they had some in the school uniform shop at crystal peaks
  5. OMG how awfull.I am moving back to woodhouse after nearly 30 years away and could do with some tips of places to avoid. I shop in the village and have noticed the chavs outside the co-op and the church at the top of Tithe barn but where else do they hang out. Also my 13 year old daughter has started going to the park at woodhouse mill with her friends(all good well behaved kids) I went to have a sneeky look and they were just sat on the grass talking, the park seemed to be full of families playing in the play ground so I figured it seemed fairly safe but is it? I would have thought a cemetery was a fairly safe place but obviously not. Thanks for any advice.
  6. Depends how many years waiting time you have and where you want to go. I have thirteen years and cant get a 2 bed house in south east sheffield.
  7. Have you finally got a council house or are you renting private again. If its private I'd put all non essentials in separate boxes and not bother unpacking them incase you have to move again in 6 months. Thats what I do.Then when you're bored it can be fun rummaging through the boxes finding things you'd forgotten about.
  8. Go to the girls school and speak to the teacher in charge of child protection. They are trained in these matters and will know what to do. If they are concerned they will report it to social services. That is what I did in similar circumstances. Turned out things were even worse then I had imagined so I was glad I did.
  9. Thanks for the info. Its not as bad as I thought apart from the freshly squeezed orange,I'll stay away from that one.
  10. Going to Majorca in august and wondering how much things cost these days.We are going self catering so meals and drinks will be the main spends.
  11. Please dont tell your dad unless he really wants to know. A doctor blurted out to my dad that he had only 2 or 3 months to live. He actually lived 18 months but had no quality of life due to depression. There were times when he physically wasnt too bad but had given up on life and just sat in his chair. It was 30 years ago and I am still angry with that doctor. Openess is not allways the best policy if the person is not ready for the openess, that can put just as much strain on everyone. good luck
  12. anaesthetic wore off half way through a ceasarean,I screamed louder then the baby
  13. If you have somewhere to move to just go. If the landlord fails to pay the arrears he can hardly charge you rent on a property he no longer owns. Dont bank on the repossesion date being a month after the court hearing either,we were in similar circumstances last month and the eviction notice was 10 days. I know you dont want to loose the £495 but its better then being homeless.
  14. OMG How awfull I hope we dont end up going down that route. Glad you got somewhere in the end though.
  15. We had the same. The house was going to be repossesed on the 16th april Howden house couldn't get us a homeless appointment until the 30th April. We had to go to court to be joined onto proceedings and then to apply for the eviction to be delayed, however while we were at court the landlord phoned to say he had paid the arrears and the court phoned the building society to confirm and cancelled the eviction. Howden house more or less told us we would be better off bidding with our waiting time. I know there has been alot in the press about tennants rights and most internet sights say a tennent should be given 2 months notice but it turns out it is the judge who decides this not the mortgage company so you must go to court unless you have better luck then me with the housing.
